I've eaten here many times and there are things that I like- back patio is nice, black bean burger is good, but there is always something not right sometimes food and sometimes service. Last time waiter was great but time before waitress got order wrong...More

Food and atmosphere is fantastic. Service is prompt and helpful. Happy Hour is fantastic too. Try the agava burger! The one downside is they changed the calamari dish. The new take on calamari is good but the previous dish was better in my opinion.

We spent our hour there chasing the flies from the table, the salsa, our salads, our burgers. The good news is that there were no flies in the bathroom. Burger, cooked perfectly to my specification (raw), but very, very, very greasy. Fat is necessary for...More

Our meal was good. Had the Street Corn--delicious, and a flatbread pizza which was soggy in the middle. The peanut butter ice cream was very grainy but went well with our torte. Our waitress was less than attentive. Noise level was high.

I had a lamb burger with roasted beets, pine nuts and goat cheese. I literally talked about it for 3 days! It was so delicious. Their drinks are also incredible all made fresh (fresh squeezed juice etc.).

Came here based on TripAdvisor reviews and loved it. Wife had Brussel Sprout tacos and I had the special pulled pork with peach sauce and jalapeño slaw (hot!). Lyle served very well and attentively even once busy. Oh, the chips to start were great too...More

We're seriously into a locavore sustainable tree-hugging life, so Agava is our neighborhood place to eat out. They're not so religiously into local food as to disdain West Coast draft beers, or Mexican agave distillates, but they do cook with as many nearby New York...More

We sat at a table outdoors in the front of the restaurant and had a blast. The food is very fresh and there were some interesting choices. I would definitely go back!

Great food, atmosphere & service. We had the pork tacos, sovrana flatbread and something called "paw-paw" ice cream (a locally-grown tropical-type fruit?). Everything was delicious, definitely recommend this hip place!

Description
The AGAVA restaurant concept is rooted in local, farm-to-table cuisine, seasonal menu and a Southwest-Inspired palette. One of the central design and functional elements is a wood-fired oven with eating bar in the main dining space, serving up flatbreads and a range of other fire-roasted cuisine. Our bar is destination of its own; from the unique spirits & cocktails, to an environment and space you have to see for yourself. We feature one of the most unique interior spaces in the central NY region, drawing from both southwestern design elements like “latillas’ as well as local historical features like reclaimed barn wood. We’re based in the old East Ithaca Train Station, commissioned in 1876 by Ezra Cornell.
