One of my favorite places to go. Charming and cozy atmosphere. The fireplace adds to the charm. Dave the owner is fantastic. He’s the type of person who makes you feel right at home as if you were talking to an old friend. The wines...and ciders are terrific. The food is very good. They have an apple and cheese pizza that is out of this world. Dave took us on a tour of the expansion and it is going to be beautiful. I can hardly wait until that part is open. You can tell that Dave put his heart and soul into this place. If you are planning a wedding in the future you may want to visit Mayers Lake Ontario Winery. There is going to be rooms upstairs for the bride and groom to get ready before the ceremony. Cabins are being built if you want to stay overnight. I can hardly wait to go back again for the apple and cheese pizza and delicious wine.More

We went there for the first time. It was very busy but we were taken care of. The wine, beer, and cider samplings are endless, so there should be something for everyone. We were not planning on getting a bite to eat, but changed our...mind. We were seated in a nice patio area outside which was a great atmosphere. We had an excellent pizza and flatbread and the price was so reasonable. The menu is small, but varied with fair pricing. Our server thought our order was taking a little to long so she brought us some cheese and crackers to munch on, what a great touch. The owner was onsite and friendly and answered all of our questions. I would definitely go there again and would recommend this place.More

I went to this place with my girlfriend since a friend of mine had a Groupon for some cheese making class. I went to have dinner a week before the class to go check it out to see if I wanted to join him and...his girl. I walked in and wasn't sure the place was even open for business. It was empty and no one was around to greet us. Then a waitress came out from the back and seated us. We looked at a menu for about 15 minutes before she took our order. When we went to order she had to go back to check to see if they had the ingredients for the food we ordered. We ended up having to order a different meal 3 times before they had what was on the menu. They were out of practically everything. This is disappointing because there wasn't anyone in there to run out of food. The food was just ok. The service took a really long time. But again there was no one in there so I don't understand that. When you can't even order the food you want, you'd think they would offer some compensation or something. Maybe a free wine tasting or a dessert. But nothing. And it was freezing inside there. I don't think the place has heat. After my bad experience I decided not to purchase the Groupon to do the cheese making class with my buddy. He ended up saying it was a waste of time since it was basically a demonstration not an actual class where customers get to make the cheese themselves. So he was also disappointed. I see why the place was empty when we went. No one would want to go back after one trip there.More

We were there as part of a large social group and had the large back room to ourselves. After enjoying 3 delicious pizza varieties (apple cheddar included}, we were able to sample about 5 wines at the capable and generous hands of the hostess. Very...nicely done. We will return to try another pizza creation 🍕😊More

Mediocre food, okay service, not a great menu. They were much better when they first opened, not sure what happened. The potential is there, they just need to live up to it.

We had a baby shower yesterday at Mayers and I have to say that our experience was truly remarkable! This was the second time we had a baby shower there, the first time being 5 years ago. The staff were 100 percent helpful and friendly...and they went way out of their way to accommodate us. They consistently checked in with me both prior to and during the shower to be sure everything was going well and that my needs and expectations were met. The food was excellent!! So many of my guests raved about the food and service. I could not have asked for anything more. I highly recommend Mayer's Lake Ontario Winery & Bistro. I cannot remember any other place that made us feel as special as they did. If you book your event here, you won't be disappointed!!More

After spending some time at the Spencerport Canal Days festivities, We decided to have supper at the Bistro on our way home. Our server, I think her name was Stephanie, was totally awesome, the food was delicious and came to piping hot. We also did...a wine tasting again and found even more wine to add to our favorites list. This was the second time we've been there and both times have had exceptional food and service.More

I have not visited this winery as I don't drink but I have been told the prices are very reasonable.
