Good, authentic German cuisine in an "old school" atmosphere. We arrived a little after 5 on a Saturday night and the place was packed. We got on the waiting list and sat on the deck to enjoy some beer while we waited ...the wait was...More

Went for our anniversary dinner, on a weekend. Should have celebrated on another day,,, too many out of area visitors, and it was packed. Reservations are only for large groups, but our wait was only about 10 minutes. After we were seated, our waiter was...More

Family brought us here for a great supper! As other reviewers state the Rueben strudel was amazing. Probably one of the best German meals we have had in a long time and we live in New York City if in the area highly recommend but...More

Wonderful little surprise! Good beer on tap, great food, but the staff and ambience are just perfect. They welcomed me sweaty and stinky after a run. Treated me like I was special. Highly recommend. Dinner, beer, and sandwich for lunch $40.

Modest from the outside, but warm and friendly inside. This restaurant gives the feel of being in Germany, from the menu of traditional dishes, to the dress of the wait staff. A great selection of beers, with friendly and prompt service. Generous portions of delicious...More

We were surprised to find a fairly authentic German restaurant in the New Paltz area, but perhaps we shouldn't have been. The setting was somewhat reminiscent of some German countryside, and the menu was strikingly "real." We especially appreciated the nice range of offerings and...More

A lovely restaurant that's been around for many years, in an absolutely beautiful location facing the cliffs of the Shawangunk mountain, known as the "Trapps". Feels like you are in Switzerland or some mountainous European location. Food is heavy but good. I had on various...More
