I came here after seeing the restaurant featured on one of the food channels I'm subscribed to online. The raw octopus that everyone gets was interesting but the taste was average and the price was quite high. The texture was more chewy than I expected and overall the flesh didn't have much flavour. The seafood casserole on the other hand... More

It is a serious trek from the 7 train, but it's worth it. Super fun, super delicious. We had the live octopus, which arrives at your table squirming, and it was excellent. Then grilled pork, kimchi, pickled peppers, onions, mushrooms, so good. Could've stayed there all night, no joke. The kids loved it. And we were downing Jinro like there's... More

We visited Sik Gaek due to the fact that a friend of a friend recommended it. Boy oh boy, it did not disappoint. Service was great, our server was on point and on top of every single detail. It was around Halloween so the decor was quite nice and the entire staff was in costume. The menu was quite extensive.... More

I live near and this is my go to spot in the Winter. Live octopus is actually quite tasty if you like squid sushi. Just go for it! Love the giant seafood pots and the Korean soups. Also it feels great to listen to old school hip hop, down some beers, chill in a non pretentious & welcoming place.

This place is quite wonderful. It has some of the best Korean seafood ever. My husband and I had the seafood hotpot which was superb. The order was gigantic, with a live lobster slowly cooking in the pot of hot steamy broth (poor poor delicious thing). The live octopus was also delicious but you definitely can't be faint of heart... More

My friends and I went back to this Korean place again. We had a table for 13 folks. We ordered almost everything on the menu. The staffs were attentive and extremely friendly. The food is very authentic and the portions are big. I like all the food that we ordered. The watermelon soju drink is very good. For 13 people... More

Very pricey and left here hungry and unsatisfied. Maybe we ordered the wrong things, but it was generally underwhelming. One of the beef dishes we got were good, as well as the fried rice, but everything else was eh.

My friends and I visited NYC for dinner. The staffs are attentive and friendly. The place is clean and hip. The food here is amazing! The food is amazing and dinner for 7 is about 42 dollars. The food portions are big. The kimchi is was better than Boston. We ordered gizzard, galbi beef was really good, empire seafood hotpot,... More
