6 of us meet here ever 3 months for lunch. It’s easy to get to and the menu appeals to most. On our last visit, the food and service were below standard. The sandwiches were dry and the presentation of them was sloppy. The waiter...was unfriendly and he has been there awhile. We ordered iced tea and instead of asking if we wanted a refill he just removed the glasses. The manager on duty never came over to our table to “check in” as has been done in the past. Sadly, we need to find a new place to dine.More

Two stars for attentive Service. Dishes were BLAND, drinks were just okay, at best. They were out of the Berry mix for the Bourbon Berry, though. Special Cod Piccata was under seasoned, drowned in flavorless broth and swimming in a sea of gratuitous capers. It...was like an entire jar was dumped. The Lobster and Shrimp Ravioli were 4 huge stuffed bathed in a cream sauce. Son did enjoy. The Lobster and Shrimp Halibut was misleading. It is only a creamy bisque type sauce and does not come with chunks of Lobster or Shrimp, as we thought. This dish IS VERY GOOD, even with an overcooked piece of fish. The Grilled Lamb was under seasoned. The Almond Crusted Snapper was FLAVORLESS! The Steak Dish also lacked basic salt. Each Entree came with Israeli style CousCous and large chopped steamed vegetables (zucchini, Broccoli & peppers) and Beets, except the Lamb had Spinach and Mashed Potatoes. They could have left those vegetables in the plain water they cooked them in because they were AGAIN WITHOUT FLAVOR. SALT or even a sneeze of seasoning! This stuff is NOT CHEAP! They automatically add the 20% Gratuity. Overall, there's way better food for this extravagant $330 BILL that wasn't worth the ticket it was printed on! Pictures NOT worth it!More

It was potentially a difficult situation- living in MA and planning a party for 50 guests in NY near the city; particularly since we are still concerned about COVID. I found this place with an online search including 'outdoor dining' and called a cousin to...go take a look. She called me from the venue, told me that her MIL has dined there frequently and that the food was good and the space was nice, so I left a deposit. The grooms family as well as my own have some vegetarians, vegans, and people with gluten issues (not Celiac) so the menu needed to be flexible. Personally, I am a person who prefers to cook most of the time and am fairly picky about food preparation. I do not go to chain restaurants unless necessary, so having an unknown place where there is an owner is preferable. I knew ahead of time Brunch service would be taking place in the front of the restaurant; it did not impact at all on my event as I chose a buffet (non-brunch items) over a plated meal, as I was told might be more challenging with staffing. The up-front honesty from the manager was deeply appreciated. The event began at 11 and we arrived at 10:30 to get some centerpieces in place. We had a back room with doors that fully opened to an enclosed patio space and I'd requested the tables be set outside if weather permitted. The day was warm and clear, and the patio was beautifully landscaped and well shaded, so even elderly relatives were quite comfortable. There was a bathroom immediately to the left inside and guests had exclusive use of those restrooms. Staff was setting up and making sure the patio was spotless, with an eye to detail. As the guests were arriving, they came out with mimosas, bloody Marys, and screwdrivers as was determined in the planning and began passing some hors devours. People were having great time and loved the restaurant. The buffet was great, people loved the food and if I needed anything additional- like an undressed salad, it was easily provided. We had chicken, pasta, , and salmon served with veggies and potatoes. I requested olive oil over butter for preparation to account for some guest sensitivities. The chafing dishes were filled sparingly and frequently to both avoid food wasted and keep things very fresh out of the oven, everyone had more than enough to eat except me- I was too busy catching up with relatives I had not seen in several years!!!! But everyone kept telling me how delicious me everything was! I did have chicken, salad and veggies and was very happy! The waiters made sure I had drinks and coffee! We were permitted to bring in cake and chose fruit as dessert from the menu as well. There is a bakery across the street that is quite good, but be warned- it took me more time and effort to order a few cakes, which even though were chosen from a standard list of what was in the case, were considered 'special order' because they were requested in a larger size, than it did for me to arrange an entire meal at Crabtree's restaurant! Even though a 20% tip was included, I left some extra for the outstanding service!More

After a long absence, I finally managed to go to Crabtree, with my brother and sister (Yevoli) who had made the reservation. I was very delighted to find the restaurant as good, (or even better) than before. The sisters ordered sole while my brother ordered...salmon. We shared the apple walnut salad with chicken. Everyone agreed that our orders twere delicious! Service was impeccable. Lionel was attentive without being obtrusive. He also efficiently fulfilled my request to hold my card (secretly) and put all the charges there so that I can make it a surprise birthday treat for her. We were thankful and appreciative for the delicious & nicely presented dessert with a lighted candle brought by Lionel & another server who joined us in singing Happy Birthday to my sister. When I asked Felipe if Crabtree could serve rice with the entree of my priest guest whom I will treat for his 14th ordination anniversary, he quickly went to ask the chef who agreed to do it. So impressed was I, that I quickly made a reservation for today ( just 2 days later). Food, service, ambience - EXCELLENT! Keep it up Crabtree!More

We came to this restaurant recently for our anniversary 1 night & the food wasn't ok. Surprisingly, the owner called & offered us a re-try on the food, complimentary on the house. Thought was a joke? But was NOT. There are still some decent honest...people in this world & on my lifetime!! They were fantastic service & we had delicious meals. They did such a good service. This time the food came out great! My appreciation is sincere & would come bk to dine. As token of good faith, gave our gratitude to the waiter. I do not kid, this place as good food. I m writing to "ALL" that this restaurant establishmt is a hidden gem. Food & service. A must try if u r in the Floral Pk/Bellerose area on Jericho Tpk.More

We were all satisfied with our soft shell crabs, skirt steak, filet o sole and trout except that the last meals almost crust was too thick and dry. My Nay’s escargot were sitting outside the shells. It should have been picked from inside. Service was...attentive and courteous. It’s outdoor ambience is relaxing especially with rays of the setting sun but if bugs bother you the indoor atmosphere is cozy.More

My husband and I went to Crabtree's for a 50th Anniversary dinner that was given for our son-in-law's parents. We had never been to Crabtree's before, but we were impressed by the ambiance, the friendly staff and the food! Some of the appetizers served were...Caprese Salad, soup, mussels, and calamari. The meal choices were Black Angus NY Strip Steak, 2 types of chicken and Cod with zucchini, broccoli and a tomato dressing. We didn't get to sample the desserts because the family had brought Italian cookies and a cake. However, I'm confident that they would have also been wonderful!More

Met out of town friends here tonight. Must say: an all around excellent dining experience! Unbelievable food. My Wife and I usually swap plates during meal. My sole was delicious but her skirt steak was better. One of our friends has celiac. We were asked...by not only waitstaff but also by Owner about allergies. They brought out 2 dishes specially made (altered) to meet our needs. Above and beyond! Service was impeccable! I drink a LOT of water and my glass was never more than 1/2 full. Entire staff was attentive and genuinely helpful and friendly. Definitely going back!More

Great food high prices good service and valet which is needed during high traffic times. A reservation is necessary because it’s a smallish place and always in demand. The service is excellent and the wait staff is very friendly they have a valet for parking....They require the whole party to be present to seat everyone at the same time. They are very accommodating but there are mishaps with new staff, Our group had seven people in it and each time we go there is an order mix up. Three of us had to return our food two us had ordered the scallop dinners and found they were severely overcooked and over salted. I ordered the baby lamb chops special and was brought the medallions of lamb which looked severely overcooked. We each returned the dishes which were remade and then returned which were delicious. We had ordered a bottle of wine to have with dinner as well which was an excellent selection a cabernet sauvignon. Two of our group ordered coffee and dessert. Four of us got coffee and tea. The restaurant gave us a free dessert plate of chocolate, pumpkin and New York cheese cakes to make up for the dinner mix ups which were very good. The food has always been excellent but there hasn't been one time we have gone where the orders have not been mixed up. But the restaurant has always come through with corrections. The décor since the pandemic can do with a repair to the men's room floor threshold there is a hole in it which will only get worse and will make the door unsteady and cause it to fail. Dinner for the six of us was $350 including tax of almost 9% and tipsMore

We ate at the restaurant last weekend. Having only been eating outside of any restaurant, this one has been the best! The outside patio is lovely and probably blocks wind. Our visit was during the mild warmer days so nights weren't brutal. They have plenty...of heaters too. Upon entering with a reservation, we waited a few minutes on the street until our table was ready. They have valet parking but if you give yourself enough time, you can find parking on the street. Upon entering, Dimitri, took our temperature and took us to our table in the patio. He was wonderful and very attentive walking around to all the outside tables asking how people were with their comfort level and food. Our waiter was excellent as well! I love that they split different appetizers in the kitchen so when they are brought out, we were set. Mussels and salads were delicious. Our friends had the grilled octopus and enjoyed them too. Each of us ordered fish for our entre and and all dishes were terrific. In fact, the waiter suggested a special on the menu to one of my friends and after a few minutes of her eating, the waiter came over to be sure it was to her liking. So attentive and appreciated! We have eaten inside before the pandemic and have always been pleased but now with the pandemic and being apprehensive with outside eating, we all felt very comfortable here, had a delicious meal and the service was outstanding! Wish I could give it another star....It was that good!More
