We've been eating at Il Toscano for many years. It's a perfect place to meet our friends who live in Westchester or Connecticut. It's conveniently located right next to the Douglaston train station. If you're meeting someone from the city it's also a great place...More

I have been eating at Il Toscano for decades and it is a reliably good to very good restaurant specializing in mostly northern italilan cuisine. However, the Lasagna is legendary, and the Veal Chop is pretty impressive as well. Many verbally announced specials can slow...More

Excellent, well presented dishes, friendly, professional service, an upscale ambiance in a cozy cul-de-sac, and free parking at a lot across the street, make Il Toscano a go-to place for fine, satisfying dining in Queens. The restaurant has an upscale Manhattan vibe and the menu...More

Burrata appetizer was delightfully fresh. Real tomatoes in February. Others had the oysters, well seasoned. And then all five of us ordered the famous lobster out of the shell. It's that good. We will return for the lasagna.

I'll start with the food... I've been to Italy many times and this restaurant tastes just as good as the food I've had in Italy... there's definitely authenticity here. I had a pasta special for an appetizer and a fish special for my entree. The...More

I have eaten here a few times in the past year - each time was because a physician client wanted to go to il Toscano so we accommodated. Prices are high for the area. The owner (the son - it is a father/son ownership situation)...More

As far as I know, there is no dress code.
Is there parking there and if so. Can we hop the train to ny and return to our untowed car?

There is a parking lot in front of the restaurant but usually there are no free spaces. We´ve parked a short distance from the restaurant without any problem.
