While staying for the weekend we stopped in to the Old World Café and had very good sandwiches and soup. It was quality of food & nice sides, along with having a great ice cream cone for a finish. The atmosphere is old-fashioned ice cream shop style and well maintained

My friend and I were passing through Corning and decided to stop for lunch before going to the glass museum. We happened to pass by and thought the menu was reasonable in terms of price and options. I had a chicken panini and my friend had half a sandwich and a cup of soup. Both were great options. The staff... More

Located in an amazing old building with beautiful antique fixtures. Portion size is huge. Consider sharing. Tasty sandwiches and salads. Steady stream of customers coming for ice cream cones too.

I doubt I would have checked this place out on my own, but we were with locals who said it would be a good spot to grab lunch and it would be air-conditioned. You walk in and head to the back room to order your meal. Sandwiches and salads are listed on a chalk board. Once you order, you grab... More

The staff is very pleasant and helpful. We had sandwiches and ice cream there. The sandwiches were very fresh. There were lots of choices. A good mix of expected items and local fare. Will go back.

Really enjoyed this place, old-school, a special place held in time, a place from years ago, awesome place for a first date, family get together. Delicious ice cream and different dishes and flavors to pick from, desserts are homemade tasting along with perfect food from their kitchen. Will be returning everytime we're in Corning Ny.

I tried the butterbeer float and brownie sunday. Both were delicious! The atmosphere is cozy and warm. It takes one back in time. I would highly recommend it and plan on returning next time I'm in town!

We often split sandwiches as we're not big eaters and the results from restaurants range from plate fees to extreme helpfulness. This place is now in first place as the sandwich came out on two plates and the sandwich was so big that we thought they had made a mistake. Nope, just a generously large, delicious, sandwich with great service.... More

We stopped here for lunch before going to the Corning Glass Museum. It's a really cute place with excellent sandwiches and a very friendly, helpful staff. The Shrimp Salad was amazing...large chunks of actual shrimp, not the canned variety. The Turkey and Avocado was equally good. My husband's chocolate milkshake was thick and delicious. They have really interesting ice cream... More

Stopped here for an ice cream cone before going to watch a band play in Centerway Square. Many specialy flavors of ice cream or sundaes. I chose the mint chocolate chip. The shops sits adjacent to Centerway where you can sit, relax and people watch, or you can sit inside, nicely airconditioned with quaint booths and an old time look.... More

We stopped here in Corning. Really great sandwiches and soup. Terrific ice cream. The bakery items looked great although we did not try them.
