Was in mood for sushi. Went here since my go to place has been closed due to a fire. This place is just plain bad. I will never go here again we had 4 people and we all thought the same thing.

My family and I really enjoy eating here. The staff is always very friendly and helpful, the food is outstanding and we also enjoy the atmosphere. It's our go-to restaurant in Commack.

Ate here while on a business trip. The restaurant staff was friendly and prompt and despite the outside not looking great, the inside was clean. More importantly, the food was splendid. I'd highly recommend the sea bass, and the free edamame was a nice touch....Overall, a great experience!More

We tried this sushi establishment and it had tasty Japanese food selections. Loved the Avocado Boat – loved the sushi rolls. It’s a great mom-n-pop restaurant – service was fast and friendly. Great sushi selections – we’ll definitely be back!

The last time I visited this establishment was 15 years ago. It was difficult for me to stop attending this great sushi place. I used to eat there at least once a week. They had authentic servers wearing kimonos and the atmosphere was quiet with...soft Japanese music. I knew everyone and everyone was happy to see me. Today after a break of 15 years (i moved) i happened to be in the area. It was a little disappointing not to see my old friends and that the mood was different. They still greeting me with a smile, but no kimonos and even an unexperienced server. But they did not disappoint me. The sushi was as perfect as i remembered, even my most favorite salad dressing. The miso soup was a little watery and the room was very noisy, even with only 2 other tables. I tolerated the noise and enjoyed my lunch ending with my favorite ginger ice cream. I will make sure i stop there again next time i am in town.More

After looking at the great reviews I thought I would give it a try. Sorry, It did not “ wow”me the way the other places in the area do. The free edamame was nice service was great. Maybe I’ll try it again ?

I have tried many sushi places since I moved here last year. This is the first place that has giant clam! I enjoyed the anikimo (monk fish liver), also rare around here. In other places I've ordered oshinko and they only had diakon. Here they...had other pickles, but I would have liked burdock root added. Some places don't even have squid, but Kurofune does. I like the real deal, not rolls with stupid things in them. This is good sushi. We had emamame which was plain, we like it spicy but not with mayo. We had the gyoza which was average, as was the sukiyaki. I will return and soon.More

My son and I can't get enough of this place. The food, the service and the atmosphere are awesome. We've had sushi elsewhere but it just can't compare. We'll be back again!

Wonderful staff, knowledgeable about gluten free and offer many options, not just gluten free soy sauce (they have gf salad dressing and soup). Always appreciate that. Their food is fresh and the sesrvice is wonderful.
