Lovely atmosphere, fine service. One of us ordered stuffed sole and found the stuffing tasted a little fishy.

We've eaten here many times and the servers are polite. We've also had one bad experience where they closed due to a storm and did not call us - we traveled 45 minutes to find out the hard way, called the desk from their parking lot and were told, in essence, "that's a tough break" even though they found our... Asa Ransom has been a fixture of the "Hollows" of Clarence for over 50 years. It's original 'roots' were religiously based (Mennonite, I think)...but pressure of competition required them to get a liquor license about 25 years ago. The food is very consistent, the ambience has a wonderful old world charm. You will NOT be disappointed.

It's nice and quaint, great for couples. Different vibe than big box restaurants. Food is overall what you would expect for a B&B much restaurant. Service was great.

We had a weekend "golden" celebration at this wonderful country inn and restaurant with our daughters and their families this last August. Every detail was perfect from the meal where the chef was attentive to 5 of us who needed gluten-free options to the comfy rooms where we stayed that night after our champaign toasts, ice buckets and glass flutes... My spouse, sister, brother-in-law and I made reservations for dinner here and it was an absolutely delightful experience. We dined there on a Saturday evening and purchased the dinner/theatre package (a five-course meal and awesome seats at the Lancaster Opera House to see "Jekyll & Hyde") with a 5:00pm seating in the dining room. We arrived a little early and... More

We were here for dinner on a weekend evening. I had attempted to make reservations ahead of time and was treated very abruptly (for lack of saying rudely). So, we arrived with very low expectations. But, what a pleasant turn of events. We were greeted and ushered into a family room setting with a roaring fire place where we could... More

Feeling as though you have stepped back in time;this country inn offers a niece selection of entrees. All meals include soup, salad, and homemade rolls with specialty butters. Tempting homemade desserts and pleasant service, all made a chilly evening warm and cozy. They also offer a Diner and Lancaster Theater Pkg from $49-$59 and B&B/ Dinner pkg as well. If you enjoy... The food is freshly prepared and choices change by the season. Wonderful ambiance and they have their own herb garden. You can sit on the porch to eat or just walk the grounds after eating. It is also a Bed & Breakfast with each room unique!
