I came up to Cicero to spend the night before flying out of Hancock International. The Cracker Barrel was close to where I was staying and I had not eaten in one since my late wife found she was wheat gluten intolerant. I decided to...have the Chicken Fried Steak with biscuits, country style green beans and hash brown casserole. I ordered sweet tea with lemon. When it arrived, I buttered the biscuits and then cut into the steak which had a big glob of gravy sitting on top. It was immediately clear that this steak was of very poor quality with a lot of gristle. The green beans were indifferent but the hash brown casserole was okay. The biscuits turned out to be the best part of the meal. The sweet tea was weak and not very sweet. I noticed a couple of things about the staff. No one was initially wearing a mask although they put them on when a manager showed up. One of the hostesses was sanitizing the menus by slapping them with a towel which presumably had some sort of disinfectant. When I paid the check, the cashier asked how the meal was and I told her. She asked if I wanted to speak with anyone. I declined. My brother-in-law was formerly in the restaurant business and spoke about how people would complain at the end of the meal to get it free. I did not want to get into a discussion about how wrong I must be about how bad the meal was. Instead I offer this critique: don’t have the Chicken Fried Steak at that Cracker Barrel. The Perkins in Cortland has a much better tasting item. The wait staffer Renee was pleasant and attentive.More

Great service and the meals my wife and I had were delicious. I had the haddock (real north Atlantic variety) and my wife had a breakfast. We both were satisfied.

They followed social distancing. Good job. Very pleasant staff. Had to wait maybe 15 minutes to get a table because of social distancing, but I'd rather be healthy.

I used to get their country fried steak diner, but ever since I tried their Southern Fried Chicken, I can't bring myself to order anything else. It is so good and you get plenty of pieces to enjoy. My wife and I love going there...for the ambiance, food, and the Country Store. Our server "Theresa" was very pleasant and efficient, which added to our visit.More

Servers need to be better trained. My guy mumbled so much I couldn't get an answer and ended up ordering something I didn't want. He did not seem to know how the menu worked. The ham was so salty it was inedible. I didn't even...eat the meatloaf because it isn't my thing especially loaded up like their's is. The dumplings were good, but do not heat up well. The tables were socially distanced, but the store was not set up so that was even possible and people simply didn't care. Many were not wearing masks and it wasn't enforced.More

I am impressed with the taste and quality of the food here. I had the mommas breakfast with pancakes and peach topping, eggs over easy and bacon. Everything was cook to my liking. Would highly recommend.

We had a few minutes wait for a table for four, but that was fine as it gave us time to explore their country store. The store had something for everyone. There was clothing, candy, Knick knacks, toys, plaques and even stuffed animals. We were...seated and our server came over promptly and took out beverage orders while we studied the large menu. I had the meatloaf dinner which came with three sides. The meatloaf was very good. I would get it again. My hubby had the trout dinner which he also liked. The setting is rustic but nice. We were never offered drink refills (not sure if they give coffee refills or lemonade refills) and we waited a long time for our check. Overall, it was a good dinner.More

My family decided to purchase a Thanksgiving dinner with all the trimmings here for a special occasion. I wasn't sure whether it was to try something new or they were sick of my cooking:-). The answer doesn't matter. This was quite the treat. Everything was...delicious. It was also so easy. The pick up was well planned with a pick-up lane and delivery right to the car. The order was checked twice for accuracy and a cute Thanksgiving gift was included. I highly recommend this restaurant and their premade dinners!More

Good place to stop by when driving down the highway. Service is fast with plenty of food options with a home cooking feel to it. Prices are fair. Plenty of parking. I prefer this place to most fast-food chain located beside highways.
