I went here when it first opened, and it was excellent. Then we went back last week for lunch, and the food is not what it used to be. The plates were large but the price also. The potatoes were likely instant potatoes, not the...real deal. The pork was good, and the seafood stew was also, but overall pretty flavorless. We went on a weekend afternoon and were one of only a couple of tables due to the time of day, so there was plenty of time to prepare the dishes. The waiter was extremely nice though as the service has always been good.More

I have been going to Lisbon Cafe for years. Their food and service has always been great. Last night was a different experience. One that I don't want to repeat!! I made reservations which they didn't have. Only one waiter and one woman assisting him....The sangria was not good. Weak and tasteless. The main dish was a special stew that was over cooked. Another fish dish was dry and tasteless. Everything was a rush. So disappointed. Don't know if I will go back anytime soon.More

We were dying to get out during this pandemic and found this restaurant with outside dining. What a great surprise! The service was great, the food excellent. There outdoor space is way in the corner of a huge parking lot. There is Astro turf down,...a fence surrounding it, tables with linens and strong heaters to keep you warm. We enjoyed seafood (including a whole lobster cut up )in green sauce ,swordfish ,great rice, great food! Salad, warm bread and fabulous chips were served too. Drinks were a good pour. Desserts were homemade flan and chocolate mousse....really good. We were treated to a port dessert wine. We will be back....inside looked warm and cozy but until COVID goes away no inside for us!More

We were a party of three. Two thought the food and service were fantastic. I was very dissatisfied with the Chilean sea bass. It was chewy and did not taste as good as other Chilean sea bass I have had.

Found this place through Trip Advisor and it did not disappoint. The food was cooked perfectly and was flavorful without being overly salty. The service was also wonderful.

I feel saddened to write this review because Lisbon Cafe Restaurant was our go to restaurant since we moved to Westbury. However, the last two times we visited the food and service were disappointing! Both times our main dishes were served and they were hot,...the home made chips were soggy, the salad was warm, happily the steamed vegetables and rice were great! The coffee aerved was old and a new pot was brewed. The "new" coffee was perfect. Went back two weeks later and there was no improvement. The service and food left much to be desired. Lisbon Cafe will no longer be a our go to restaurant, nor will it be one we will visit again!More

Service here is above excellent with more than a courteous and knowledgeable wait staff. Not noisy, reasonably priced AND delicious Portugues food. Yes you can have other varieties, BUT WHY?? The chips are house made and you will ask for more. Be sure to have...enough bread to dip in the entrees sauces. The branzini..order with the head on!! SHARE!! LISBON CAFE is a total vacation in your mouth. The food is exciting, the menu has plenty of choices for everyone and surprising many entrees reflect a little of Italian influence? So if your family/group of friends can't decide on whether to have meats or...seafood, Portuguese cuisine or Italian inspired dishes...you got to try Lisbon Cafe. The weekends are always packed and I try to dine during the week because of that exact reason. No need to huddle with the masses all trying to taste this delicious restaurant. Really it's that good! Check out my pictures and you'll see why. This restaurant is proud of it's Portuguese culture and they are very helpful in wine selection as well as aiding in your choices whatever suits you. A big plus in customer service! I promise you won't leave hungry but so so satisfied. Happy Eating and I'll see you around the tables from time to time!More

This is a small restaurant and so one would think it would have a limited menu, just the opposite. The menu is extensive, sure to please even the fussiest eater. The four of us dined on a variety of items, all very good. The entrees...come with potato, rice and veggies for the table and are refilled if desired. The decaf coffee and cappuccino were very good. They get an extra kudo for completely deshelling the shrimp (I hate having to remove the shell on the tail). There is valet parking or lots of free on street parking.More

we enjoyed a variety of dishes by starting with a combination appetizer that we shared. Champagne lobster was wonderful and so was the wine and dessert. They have a vast menu and we hope to return and try other dishes.

The Lisbon Cafe is a neighborhood favorite in the lovely hamlet of Carle Place, NY. Maybe the fact that there are so few restaurants in town contributes to the crowding. The place is popular and people stood in the doorway until well after eight PM....The food is good, servings are plentiful but the service is so very very slow. Prices are moderate.More

I remember this location from the old days when it was Camilla's café (that was great). Than it became West490 (which was so so). Now, for the past couple years, it is Lisbon café and I was there for the third time. It is simply...great seafood place with the very extensive menu. They have number of meat dishes as well, but seafood seems to be the best including lobsters, etc. Price are very reasonable, service is European style. They will discuss an options with you and provide recommendations. We were leaving around 8 PM and it was a huge crowd by the door trying to get in. But we did not feel rushed at all at our table. Definitely coming back.More
