Restaurant serving local products perfectly cooked with some interesting innovative ideas. Wine list including good local items. Very considerate waiters. The hotel is located in an historical building nicely refurbished and decorated by the waterfall.

We opted for dinner after wandering about the town. Beacon has come a long way and there's no better evidence than the transformation of the Roundhouse. This former industrial property is now a modern hotel, restaurant and bar, overlooking a turbulent waterfall and rushing stream. Though much of the surrounding area is still in transition, this actually adds to the... More

The roundhouse is in a wonderful old building right on a river overlooking a beautiful waterfall. The building had been nicely reconditioned and the bar area is delightful. The food menu is well thought out and prepared with local ingredients. It is nice in the winter overlooking the waterfall but they also have an outdoor terrace to enjoy it in... More

Loved this place for their mixed drinks. Came here twice in just two days and would recommend the Matteawan drink and they have some great appetizers.

Beacon has found it's gem, The Roundhouse is known for serving whole farm cuisine and the agricultural of the Hudson Valley. Highlights from our meal included the pear and endive salad with blue cheese. Fluke crudo with avocado, citrus vinaigrette and jalapeño. For our main dish we really enjoyed the cauliflower with parmesan, lemon, pistachio. Portions were large. Service was... More

My wife and I spent this last weekend at the Roundhouse. We had a very nice time. Unique hotel close to nice restaurants and shops. The rooms are large and very comfortable with a blend of modern meets old warehouse/mill. The river that runs thru the property adds a nice backdrop. Easy to see how this would be a nice... More

Very interesting menu, delicious food, classy presentation, pleasant server, fantastic view of waterfall... A chance to step outside the box and try something new. Looking forward to returning and trying out the less intense lounge menu and spending a couple of nights in the hotel. I'll save the sophisticated restaurant for our Valentine's getaway.

Met some friends recently for drinks in the lounge at The Roundhouse. Very intimate setting but drinks were way overpriced for the area ($14 for a Pinot noir) and very limited menu. They do not offer any happy hour or drink specials. Waitress was very good, especially considering it was pretty crowded. Ok for a special occasion but too pricey... More

The Roundhouse has a perfect setting in a town usually mobbed with visitors from NYC and SHOULD be doing wonderfully, but our last few experiences were far from pleasant. Thanksgiving was more than disappointing - it was a bad joke. We chose the Roundhouse after googling Duchess Tourism for restaurants serving dinner on Thanksgiving 2016. The Roundhouse was listed with... More
