Couldn't enjoy the meal at all!!! All you could hear was constant motorcycle noise!!! If we wanted to hear noise all day long we could have dined on route 287!!

The service was very slow and we had to ask several times for things. I had the schnitzel. It was thin small medallions. I would not recommend it.

Carriage House is in an oasis-town (Barryville) in the restaurant desert on our 90-minute drive between our home and family in PA whom we visit frequently. We were super-hungry, so we thought we'd try it. My husband and I got there after the lunch rush (around 3pm) on Saturday 2/18. Upon entering, we observed about 5-8 occupied tables and 3-4... More

Had lunch here. Pretty good food. Parking lot a little tight. Decent place inside with a good server and casual ambience

They didn't have the goulash when we went, but i had the blackened salmon and my girlfriend had the steak. It was very good.

We liked the German decor and the quaint, old fashioned roadside feel of this restaurant, but the food fell short of our expectations. My cheesesteak was served on a garlic bread toasted roll which truly spoiled the otherwise excellent roast beef, onions and melted cheese filling. My husband ordered the turkey BLT - nice sandwich, but too much roll for... More

Stopped here with one of our children on a scenic drive up 97. Service was good, atmosphere was good, and food was good. You could tell that the place had a lot of history - and seemed like a lot of other guests came in while we were there. Beautiful views of the river - but when we went outside... More

My husband and I live in Sullivan County NY year-round. We have found this "gem" of a European-like restaurant in Barryville, NY. The dining room is vintage, large and feels warm and inviting (even though it is a large space). The music choices and speaker system are relaxing and enhance/blend nicely with dining, while the sound system is clear and... More

Sure they serve a fine plate of food but the waitress wasn't having one of her finest days. It's located at the crossroads of Barryville and this is a motel, restaurant and bar with inside and outside seating.
