Visited Michael's Kitchen at 1 pm and received prompt seating and service. For the 6 people in our group each person received their meal quickly and had no complaints, only complemented on the quality and flavorful taste of their meal. No problems with special dietary requests. Quite atmosphere. Exceptional bakery goods. Good prices on meals and large variety of offerings.
Been visiting Taos for over 40 years, and I always save Michael's Kitchen as my swan song meal. Never let's me down. Only downside is I wind up avoiding the heuvos rancheros dish in other places for too long. Memories of Michael's last a long time. You can't go wrong with any dish. I've heard good things about lunch and... More
This is my go-to restaurant in Taos if I just want a great, 'home-cooked' style meal. It's where all the locals go and I haven't been in the place when it hasn't been buzzing. The wait staff is friendly, quick to fill water glasses and coffee cups and our entrees came out quickly and were warm. Great comfort food.
Hubby and I enjoyed a delish dinner at Michael's Kitchen. He had the fried chicken and I had a cheese enchilada with their yummy red sauce. It's has a nice kick to it, but not 🌶 too spicy. Lots of choices on the menu. It was hard to decide what to choose. The staff was perfectly attentive and super sweet.... More

We were greeted right away. Our waitress was very friendly I ordered a combo plate with enchilada and chile- relleno. The food was hot, fresh and quick. The plate came with rice and beans but the best part of the meal are the Sopapillas! Warm, fluffy, almost sweet, just delicious! We took some with us!
We stopped here for breakfast during our Christmas vacation. Wow! Excellent food and service. We took some pastries to go and enjoyed them later in the day. We would definitely return.
This is highly recommended on Trip Advisor, so we decided to give it a try for breakfast. It is very popular, and if the amount of food is an important criteria for you, then this is a good option. The food was served quickly, and the server was pleasant and efficient. It is "good ol' café breakfast food", with a... More

I have a question about the chiles that are served. Everyone is raving about them. Do these sauces have meat in them?
