Drove into Taos after a day of sightseeing wanting some local food but had no idea where to go. Decided a good place would be where the parking lot was full of trucks and not rental cars. BINGO. This was the place. Inexpensive, local food, sopapillas, large menu, fast service and friendly staff that seemed so know everyone in the... More

Michael's Kitchen was closed so we cruised around looking for a breakfast spot in Taos. Ended up at El Taoseno and were not impressed. I ordered an egg over medium and it came hard as a rock. No sourdough toast. Hash brown potatoes were cold and lumped together. All in all, not a pleasant breakfast. We I don't recommend it.

El Taoseno was near our hotel, had good reviews on TA and opens at 6am. We live in the Eastern time zone and are awake and ready for breakfast earlier than most in Taos. The breakfast burrito had bacon, 2 scrambled eggs and hash browns wrapped in a flour tortilla and smothered in green chile. In addition, there was a... More

We stop this morning for breakfast. The place was full and that made us think it was a popular place. We were not disappointed. The food is really good and the prices moderate. The staff was very nice and helpful. We are planning to go back.

Their slogan, 'Where the Locals Eat', says a lot! As we walked in with our 4 year old grandson a rather full and busy establishment, all went quiet . . . The five of us pick our table out and sat down. Then in about 30 seconds, the patrons came back to life!!! It was quite comical - we were... More

We visited Taos for the first time the first week of September (2016) and ran into this restaurant after visiting Hacienda Los Martinez nearby. The service was cordial and prompt, it was obvious this place is heavily favored by the locals; always a good sign. The menu is varied, reasonably priced, and fresh. We had a variety of dishes from... More

Stopped for dinner and were seated right away. Our server (Felonesias?) was adorable. I ordered green chili on the side since I wasn't sure how hot it would be at her suggestion. While I didn't like having to order and pay for chips and salsa, it seems to be standard in NM and they were worth it. Food was served... More

whilst the staff were friendly and the service good the food looked like someone had vomited on my plate. the mince in both the taco and enchilada tasted revolting. one of the worst meals i have ever had.

We stopped here for lunch and ate various chile dishes. It was nice that they offered vegetarian chile sauce for their entrees too. The service was a little slow but the food was good and filling. It seemed like a local spot and it was pretty inexpensive. Its a good place for lunch but there are better options elsewhere in... More
