My wife and I dined there last night. A delightful meal, especially their signature trout dish, blackened and smothered in a cilantro/mint/olive oil coating. Divine! My wife's veggie pasta would have been perfect too, except the pasta itself was overcooked. Semifreddo dessert was scrumptious. Wine...More

An historic property with magnificent views of high peaks from the garden at the restaurant entrance sets the mood for an evening of fine dining. Two small dining rooms with sound separation are promising and bright. We began by sharing giant green olives stuffed with...More

Great place, great staff and great food ~ the setting is one of the prettiest views in Taos. Annette and her crew are wonderful ~ don't miss it!

This is as close to fast food as it gets without it being fast food. Plenty of seating. Great Mexican food. Very convenient on main road into tow.

We visited El Meze for a celebratory dinner. The ambience, service and meal did not disappoint. The locally sourced food was inovative and delicious. The servings were plentiful but not overwhelming. The menu is varied and it was difficult to choose. W We look forward...More

I always enjoy this restaurant on my annual visits to Taos. The menu is limited and changes infrequently, and for some this might be a problem. Some of my favorites are the frites, the beans served as an appetizer, the grilled hearts of romaine, and...More

Took my kids here for dinner, and we had a really great meal with a bunch of the very tasty "share plates" plus delicious desserts. Creative dishes, wonderfully attentive staff, lovely setting -- slam on the brakes and don't miss the driveway.

This restaurant in an ancient adobe torreon is always a delight. In the summer, the patio views toward the mountains looking over Pueblo Land are spectacular. The changing menu and wine list are always interesting with the possibility of sharing small plates of a larger...More

Lovely friendly setting with a number of small rooms each holding eight or so tables. They were very willing to accommodate my wife and who like to sit catty corner at the table. Service was excellent and upbeat. We often like to share a meal...More

My username is Bazbol06 and I left a review many months ago that was not favorable to your establishment. You finally got back to me on trip advisor and basically denied every single thing that I said. FYI there are multiple primary care clinics in Taos including family practice, Taos medical group, the VA, and Indian health service. The waiter they gave me horrible service, is now at another establishment, I saw him there yesterday. I have no reason to leave a bad review except that the service was horrible, the food was OK at best. I understand that you are a local establishment however you should probably treat the locals better. I'm sure I'll see you in the clinic soon so please treat me well as I treat you well.

Why such a limited menu when Taos has visitors from all over the US and abroad? For example: one steak selection, one fish selection, no lamb, no seafood selection. Odd. And dress code is casual elegant? Really? In Taos?

We are a very small boutique restaurant. We are about quality not quantity so we keep our menu limited to what we can execute to provide stellar food consistently in a timely fashion. We are not a restaurant meant for... More

When a customer says their meal is 'fine' at an upscale dining place (and not great) I would think a good restauranteer would do something to make it better. A little honey goes a long way like a comp'ed dessert or coffee. The long winded defense responces of the owner show they aren't really interested in their dinners. Frasca's (one of Gayots top 40 USA restaurant) and Blackbelky (chef Hosea Rosenberg from Top Chef) in Boulder would always take the high road.

This is not a question but an opinion on how I deal with social media reviews. When a customers tells me or their server that everything is "fine" why would I think anything else. But then they post to the contrary, you... More

Description
We are located in the El Torreon Hacienda built in 1847 which reflects our philosophy, our food and the historical influences of Taos. From June - September we have patio seating under a tent with twinkle lights and the most incredible view of Taos Mountain.
