Love the Green Chile Cheeseburger. Husband had a regular Cheeseburger and both were delicious. Also had an order of fries and onion rings and they were both made perfect being crisp on the outside and soft int he center. Our wait staff was very friendly and accommodating to all of our needs.

We eat at the owl at least once a month. We recently went and it was busy around 630 pm. We were with a large group. There were several other large groups in the establishment. To say service was slow is a understatement. The waitress had a hard time understanding what each person at the table wanted to eat because... More

The Owl is a local bar and restaurant. They claim to have the best green chile cheeseburgers. Ok, the burger was good but having sampled green chile cheeseburgers around the state of NM, the "best" is really a stretch and then some. The green chile is not all that spicy, again for those more familiar with the substance around the... More

This is a real hole in the wall full of down to earth people and food. The green chili burger is good as is the green chili, but you have to order the chili with beans - without beans to way over to top to hot. Eat at the bar - it is the best show and conversation in town.

We stopped here for breakfast after a morning of birding at Bosque. This is a perfect stop for history buffs. The custom wood bar was owned by Contad Hilton in his first rooming house. Contad grew up in this tiny town and started the Hilton empire. The restaurant first opened when scientists from the Trinity Site stopped into the town... More

We stopped for a late dinner on our way to Albuquerque. I ordered the green chili fries with a green chili cheese burger. The green chili was spices but not to hot. Both the green chili fries and the green chili hamburger are the best I have ever eaten. If you think the chili is too hot they will put... More

This bar and Cafe was around prior to the Atom Bomb test. Many of the scientist and technicians stopped here for lunch.

Fresh ground hamburger, excellent flavor. Just got it with cheese. The fries or onion rings are separate. The fries were good but a bit crunchy for my taste. They are known for their green chile cheeseburger but I prefer nongreen chile. However I am not a native NM. Limited menu, Hamburgers and a couple of steaks. They do have a... More

This place is historic and has been around since 1945. They claim to use the same recipe for green chile cheeseburger as the original owner. My principal objection is that the bun is way to small and starts falling apart before you even get your first couple of bites. This has always occurred when we have visited the Owl. Otherwise...
