Excellent service, interesting menu, and well prepared food. Mostly Italian options, but other mediterranean items such as Salad Nicoise. Daily specials. Good wine options. Desserts delicious!

You can't help but to love this classic Italian restaurant located in a centuries old trading post. The food is always spot on. Sadly Chef Rene passed on but you can feel his life force every where you look and in all the food. This lovely restaurant/ Art gallery is a must visit when in Taos. If you are lucky,... More

I've eaten here a dozen or so times - most recently yesterday for lunch. The food is creative, fresh and simply tastes good. The choices range from healthy to indulgent. The service is always friendly and it's a great alternative when you're looking for something besides the local cuisine. A good choice for lunch or dinner.

We have passed this restaurant many times. Decided to stop tonight. Very N. NM atmosphere, fire crackling, and had a very obviously historical ambient setting. The food is really homey and delicious. The homemade bread is to die for, and they sell loaves to go.The waiter knew by heart the long list of Specials. I had the Rosemary Chicken which... More

Pleasant atmosphere, greeted warmly and seated by the kiva! The service was excellent. They were running an October special and I had the sauerbraten. It was good and came with large serving. My friend had the Asian tuna and noodle dish. Tuna was mediocre and noodles difficult to eat. I look forward to Sunday brunch!

Antonio Matus, general manager and renowned Taos chef, known for his inner Mexico creations, swept us off our feet with his hospitality and kindness. My partner treated me to an evening at the Trading Post Cafe for what I thought was going to be a nice Italian dinner. We happened to come during Trading Post's OctoberFest week where the best... Staff were very attentive, gracious, and helpful with making excellent food and beverage choices. For supper, we started with wonderful homemade warm bread - accompanied by olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Excellent wine choices. The menu offered enlightened choices, ranging from light to hearty food selections- all of which sounded delicious! We chose 2 of the daily specials and we... More

A great Italian restaurant disguised as an adobe trading post. From the street it looks like any bar/souvenir shop. The bar area has an old outpost sort of look to it, but the dining room is another world. Fine dining at its best, even though the walls are covered with local art. One best Italian meals I've ever had--salmon and... More

The name does not imply it but this is a really nice Italian restaurant just south of the city. Good wine list, lots of variety in the menu and many specials. The food and portion were good Our only complaint was the bread was nothing special

For lunch or dinner this place is fantastic. The chef will actually step out to ask you if everything is to your liking and she doesn't mind making substitutes, especially if you require gluten free meals. White table clothes, fireplace, clean and peaceful. One of my favorite places to eat!!
