I have eaten at this restaurant many times. I keep going back because the food is great. It is one of the best Mexican restaurants in town.

I set out to go to Las Casita's but went on Monday evening only to find them closed. I had not prepared for a second option so I tried Nopalito which was just down the street. Big mistake. I left half of it and should have quit after the first bite. Don't waste your time.

Very large. Ordered Mexican dish. Beans, rice, lettuce, a concoction with real cheese. Not too spicy, but flavorful.

We happened by the Nopalito Mexican restaurant while on other business in the area and decided to give it a try. Bad decision. We ordered the green chile cheeseburger and the chicken enchilada plate. We're all used to seeing the wide discrepancies between burger pictures on the menu and what actually shows up on the plate - but this one... More

We ate here with some local relatives. My wife had chile relleno & I had enchiladas; both were very good. Service was decent and the restaurant was clean. The red salsa is on the hot side.

We visited around 2pm. When walking in, we were not greeted right away. The waitress that seated us got our drinks and chips right away but took a very long time coming back to take our order. The restaurant did not seem full at this point. I ordered the gorditas and my husband got the enchilada style burrito (smothered at... More

Salsa has a nice kick of heat that stays on the tip of your tongue. Love that tingling sensation I get in my neck. I ordered the beef taco plate, had some sort of flavor to the meat. Sure the potatoes in it helped it. I tried a chicken taco that my mother got and the meat was bland. No... More

Celebrating 50 years, the food is as authentic as the service. I love both at this downhome place. Try the gorditos; they are unique to Las Cruces area and great. The green chile and red sauce are not to be missed. THis is what NM food is all about.

The Mexican food is authentic and the green chile salsa is the best! Don't miss the carne adovada and tostado compuestas. We like the Mesquite Street location the best.
