We went to this place for lunch. Good Bhutanese food but don't sit outside because the view of the highway + get bit dusty.

Probably the most friendly staff of any restaurant we visited. Local food that was very tasty and killer homemade ice cream. The homemade bread was very nice. Some high dollar historical artwork for sale as well if that is of interest to you. Highly recommended.
The food was obviously geared to local taste but we thoroughly enjoyed it Very tasty, charmingly served and in a beautiful setting
We ate here a couple of times during out stay. The breakfast was lovely - cornflakes, eggs, toast and juice. All that we needed in the morning. The lunch and dinner were Bhutanese and were fresh and fulfilling. The service was fabulous. I'd recommend it...if in the area.More
Dined here twice on passing through, not our choice but chosen by tour company. Limited food but nonetheless adequate and freshly cooked. Excellent service, clean, and comfortable. Good coffee too!
I love having my lunch here. Great view with great food. The bread made with wheat is delicious, it was so soft. The staff were polite and helpful. The feeling is hardly described and you must see it by your own eyes and experience it...by yourself then it will automatically deep into your memories.More
The restaurant provides a good place to rest and have lunch enroute to either Punakha or Gantey. The food is good and tasty and the staff friendly. To top it off, it comes with a great view of the surrounding rice fields and mountains.
We had lunch here and the food was delicious. The view of the surrounding is great, which makes for an enjoyable meal
This restaurant is among the best in this region, offering a wide variety of Bhutanese and Indian foods. The quality is very high and the dining space is open, with excellent views of the Divine Madman's Temple. More importantly, the family that runs this place...is wonderful in every way. They care about the experience and will do everything they can to make it great.More
We only stop to eat. The food was really good, good and kind service. The view is very good. In principal the food is not that great in Bhutan, this is best i found. Some expensive souvenirs are available to buy too.
lunch here before hiking to Chimmi Lhakhang, buffet again but taste & service ok also getting good view from here. do a short visit of lobesa village also enjoyable. good for try
We went to this place at 2 pm knowing well that it might take a bit of time to get food. We were 6 of us with different food preferences. The man at the counter was extremely rude and started shouting at us. He said...he wld take order only if itis minimum of 3 dishes of each item. Saying he doesn’t want people like us here and we were not invited. I said u r recommended by TA and that’s y we are here. So we had to leave the restaurant without having any food but after having a slice of rudeness and inhospitality.More
The beautiful quaint property with just 8 rooms run by a couple was surely one of my favorite hotels in Bhutan. Already acknowledged by Trip Advisor as a eat out for their delicious food. The rooms are spacious and impeccably clean with lovely wood work....Looking at it I thought it was a new property but was shocked to know the hotel was 6 years old as even the paint on the walls looked fresh. The bathroom is spacious and clean. The food was excellent as every dish I tasted was very good. In the morning I requested the staff to serve me breakfast on the picnic bench by the riverside. It was a beautiful experience sitting by the riverside with the gushing sound of the water on a chill morning under the beautiful sunshine. The only sad part was I had only a night to spend here as I had to head to Paro the next day.I was pleasantly surprised how reasonable the hotel was when I had to sign the bill while checking out. I will surely be back here and next time spend a few days here.More
This was undoubtedly the best meal we had in Bhutan - a fixed lunch of Bhutanese specialties like ema datshi (chilli cheese curry), jashi maro (chicken), a yummy local bread, red rice, a delicious cabbage stir fry, spinach stir fry, ice cream, Chinese tea et...al. Good service, nice ambience and very good value for money. I believe the vegetables are all organic as well. Don't miss it.More
Lovely view, great food (one of the best azey I had in Bhutan). I cannot fault them for anything. Service and food is amazing.
