This restaurant is part of the Bali Restaurant story. Ku De Ta was one of the first establishments to take the leap into the top end serious restaurant arena. This is where VIPs or international Statesmen and their entourages would be brought if they were in Bali for a Convention and they wanted a non hotel experience of Bali. To this end you will still find rigorous security checks and structures in place. Located in Seminyak on the beachfront, this establishment is always a must do for us when we visit Bali. We like to do Brunch here so that we can squeeze in a swim. Their beautifully appointed pool and surrounds has been reconfigured to provide a stage for showcasing the beautiful people. For people watchers and performers alike, this is a happy relationship and all seats have a great overview of the area. Then of course there is still the beach, where kite sellers ply their trade and you can find all of the accoutrements that go with a beach experience in Bali. Ku De Ta also has an on site Life Guard. So if you are not into actually taking the plunge, you can always enjoy looking at the good humoured Life Guard. It seems that Ku De Ta has extended its property on one side to include a second story. Regardless, of the truth of this, there are a series of spaces that the patron can select, depending on whether you want to indulge in Fine Dining, Snacking and admiring the sunbathers, having Brunch and catching up with friends, or having a few drinks and watching the famous Bali Sunsets. The menu ranges from snack and coffee to fine dining. And you can do it all in this lovely environment with a very competent and experienced staff to ensure that you have a happy experience. Our group ordered from across the menu, choosing Barramundi, Thai salad and Pork Belly with several refills of coffee and fruit juices. The staff will not hassle you to move through quickly through your meal, you can relax, chill out and meditate on the waves if you like. You don't need to book for Brunch or Lunch unless you request a specific table. This restaurant is extensive enough to carry a large sitting. Parking is limited but happily there is an overflow to a nearby market. And for those who care, the toilets are clean and beautifully appointed, with an eye for detail to make your visit a pleasant one.

We attended this bar which is in the heart of Seminyak after we had gone to another club and were sadly disappointed. Upon entering the place is opulent vast and very well laid out. It has a fantastic view of the ocean and we arrived right at sunset just in time to take in an amazing view. My wife and I sipped cocktails while the children chose to immediately grab a lounging chair and then head off to the ocean. This is right in the surf Center of Bali the waves are quite treacherous but the time we spent there was excellent the food was amazing. Although it is somewhat pricey we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would highly recommend this location. We were taken their by our guide which I have recommended previously he can be reached tourbalinese@gmail.com his name is ketut he speaks English very friendly has lots of Canadian American European and primarily Australian tourists that use his vehicle. And he is fantastic.

Place was OK but more for Instagram photos than for a reasonable dinner. We ordered just small dishes and drinks and paid 630k IDR which is more than for the dinner at the fancy Naughty Nuri skeakhouse in Seminyak. I did like that they had a lot of security that was doing check up of bags. We had to pay extra 5k IRD for a parking next to restaurant, which is insane idea for the restaurant customers. Restaurant is busy, so better make a booking. I would recommend it for a drink in a nice place, but not necessary for a meal, unless you don't mind spending a lot of money on meal. For me it was too many moody young tourists that just wanted to signalize in social media that they are in fancy place.

My wife amd I ended spending a whole afternoon after just going down for lunch...we got a table by the beachside overlooking the pool area and beach club, the views are just superb. The signature tropical Sangria is absolutely delicous to drink and gets you humming after a jug between 2 people. The food is delicous, we just had tapas style foods for the afternoon and didn't worry about dinner because it was very filling and all was cooked lovely. Cost wise is reasonable for both the food and drinks, its comparable with hotel prices, not as cheap as elsewhere but also not as expensive either. We'll definitely be back to KuDeTa for the view, drinks and food, sensational 🤩👍

I came here for Valentine’s Day with my family and the place has very slow service (almost 2hrs for our food). We came at 6:30 pm and almost every option on the menu was finished. The place is also overcrowded with people even with covid restrictions. Not even our French fries have arrived in a time span of almost 2 hours. Overall the service is poor and I DO NOT suggest spending your time here.

We came to Ku De Ta 2 out of our 6 nights in Seminyak. Prior to coming to Seminyak we heard alot of about Ku De Ta and it was certainty worth all the hype! I recommend heading to Ku De Ta for a table around 4:45PM as it gets very busy leading close to sunset. Overall, the vibe they create here is fantastic and the DJ was incredible. One of the best sunset vibes in Bali. Can't wait to come back!

Even though the name is big and famous, the reality is just average with overcrowds of Australians and people who want to be seen. This beach club is just average. Not to be compared with Finn's, W or Omnia. The place seems very dirty. I went in for a drink at the bar counter. The Counter was full oh cigaret ash. The bartender came and asked my drink, I ordered a Vodka Tini where the bartender replied to me: "Can I show you the menu first because of martinis very expensive!" I just said it i fine and he went to make my drink. Do you even think he wiped the counter for me? No, he did not. I was on a dirty bar counter for my entire stay there. Finally, I paid a bill of 365,000 and put 500,000 in the bill folder and told him to keep the change! Never tell me again that a drink is expensive... The view and sunset are stunning, music very good. yet the crowd is average and fake. Dirty environment. Haven't tried the food but won't do it as I will not go back. By the way, drinks are more expensive than here in Hong Kong, unacceptable for Bali!

Our dinner experience at Ku De Ta was a huge disappointment. I made my husband come to dinner there with me because I'd seen it on instagram looking awesome - he is always skeptical of Instagram places I find so my persuasion skills have taken a real hit now since it was so terrible here. We left half way through our main course. We'd made reservations but when we arrived we were shown to a dirty unmade table even though it really wasn't even that busy. We thought someone would come along and make it up but they didn't. So this sort of set the tone for the rest of the meal. Once our starters arrived we had to ask for plates and napkins. Service was really slow, one of the managers (I think) came over and apologized in advance for the slow service due to it being busy which confused us because it really wasn't busy. Our starters and mains came out and we barely touched them - I thought Ku De Ta was some upmarket sushi place but they were serving basic weird stuff like tuna mayo on sushi rice. Tempura prawns on sushi rice which looked nice until you realize the prawns are soaked in mustard. They served our starters with dips but instead of soy sauce or something like that we got ketchup and mayo. Just like naff stuff you wouldn't expect from a supposedly upmarket place. Basically I think I had grand ideas that it was super trendy, served really interesting and fancy sushi but in reality it was just a boring basic, 'could be on a costa del sol strip', kinda place. Would definitely not go back and would never recommend. The whole experience was pants and a total waste of money - we left here after receiving our main course and deciding it was too crap to eat and went for shrimp tacos at Shrimps down the road and had a way better time for a fraction of the price.

If you want somewhere memorable to have dinner then this is it! Be warned it’s expensive and four of us had entree, mains with champagne, a cocktail and beers which converted to approximately $399 AU. The place was a amazing with its views, seating food and service! We even had an ice bucket for the champagne which is important in the tropics and often over looked! 5 star service and we felt that we had full privacy with tables generously seperate from one another and music to cover but not overwhelm. Drinks later in the evening with front row views of the planes coming in and the rolling sea on comfy lounge chairs set us back approximately $ 150. Again the service was 5 star. Only in Asia can you find this service not even at home!

Ku De Ta remains my favourite spot to have a drink and watch the sunset. It has a cosiness to the design of the property and is stylish without being over the top. The food and drink offerings are appetising and the music not too loud so you can still hold a conversation.

My boyfriend and I recently visited for a birthday brunch whilst on holiday and staying at hotel just down the beach . We liked it here as it had a nice vibe and the brunch options were varied but mostly relatively healthy. We both had a zinger juice and I then ordered poach eggs with toast, beans and rosemary potatoes. My boyfriend got the avocado on rye bread with poached egg. Unfortunately for us whilst the food was delicious, our eggs arrived and were almost completely cold which changed the enjoyment level of the meal a little. The rosemary potatoes were more like garlic roast potatoes when I was expecting a rosemary parmentier so largely I left those too. All round a nice place to visit for something super chill. I’m hindsight I should have sent back the eggs but it was nearly the end of brunch timings so I didn’t (brunch ends at 12pm and we arrived at 11.20am, food about 11.40am.)

It has a great atmosphere, terrific food, we have been here a dozen times, coming here since the early 2010s. We come at about 10 and stay till 4, we swim in the pool, order drinks, use the free wifi and eat delicious food. Great place to chill for the whole day, have never had an issue and the service is the best, we always have a waiter who we know and he always greats us and talks to us, 100% would recommend dedicating a whole day to coming here (And a couple hundred dollars), exploring the surroundings, such as the beach, the markets or any other places which may interest you.

I spent my last full afternoon in Bali at Ku De Ta as a solo traveler. I walked in with out a prior reservation and asked if I could have one of the sun chairs by the edge overlooking the ocean. I was kindly taken to the sun chair and handed a food/drink menu. I will say that the prices are high for Bali, but as a New Yorker, I did not think they were outrageously over priced. I opted to buy one bottle of Prosecco instead of buying by the glass, which is what the staff at Ku De Ta want you to do as each glass it self is over priced ($20 USD per glass vs $50 USD for the bottle which has 4 glasses.) My personal tip: Always ask for a full glass of ice to help keep your drink cold and when the ice melts, you have a cool glass of filtered water instead of paying for the bottle of water, which at any beach club could be up-to $5 USD a bottle.) The DJ was playing fantastic music and the over all atmosphere is great. The only exception is that you are old enough to drink in Indonesia at the age of 18 so there are a lot of 18 year olds posing in front of your view to get their social media photos. This is not Ku De Ta's fault. It's just annoying when you are trying to take in the beautiful views and there are six 18 year olds taking selfies and interrupting your ambiance/mood/Prosecco. The next time I come to Bali, I will arrange a much longer visit to Ku De Ta to try their food menu and to try to secure a sun chair in the upstairs balcony, reserved for VIP guest.

We have been here for lunch a few time’s now and each time the service was great and so was the food. I really enjoyed drinks overlooking the ocean while listening to the awesome tunes the venue plays. I prefer this beach club to the other ones because this one is smaller has a nice chilled vibe. The Barra fillet is my favourite dish here so far and I look forward to trying others when I come back. The reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because the price is a little to high for what you get.
