Das Essen, Salat, Málaya Curry, Dessert, Cheesebord, war sehr sehr lecker. The Food was awesome. Die Bedienungen waren sehr freundlich, herzlich, mega nett. The waitresses were friendly and lovely. Die englischen Inhaber waren ebenfalls sehr freundlich. The english owner were very kindly too. We like it 100% . GERI and Mikel, guests from Rothman Manor.

What a find. Koornlands is a MUST visit if you're in Swellendam. The food is outstanding. Make sure you haven't eaten lunch if you go in the evening. All courses are out of this world. We've had some amazing food in the uk and abroad but this rates amongst the best. We had the crocodile sashimi & the kudu carpaccio... More

TERRIBLY overpriced for food that was obviously prepared in advance, frozen and thawed for the order. R220 for a fillet steak? Also, NO cold sparkling wine in Christmas Eve? Really guys??

The food was really delicious, I would suggest reading the menu online before going as the blackboard you are shown at the restaurant gives only the title of the dishes. My husband thought the malay curry was the best he had ever eaten!

Our Landlady at the Old Thatch Lodge in Swellendam recommended this restaurant which was about 10 minutes walk away. The food and drinks were excellent; the waitress was friendly and helpful; service was quick.

We were recommended Koornlands. We were feeling adventurous so had crocodile sashimi and warthog bitterballen as starters. Both good. Then Kudu and Springbok as mains. Also good. Nicely paced service. Thoroughly enjoyed the meal.

The must eat is the crocodile sashimi. The menu is pretty limited, but each item is cooked to perfection. We had springbok and gnu, and oh boy what a treat it was. Add the friendly service and you get the picture.

My wife and I had a brilliant dinner there with excellent food. Both vegetarian and steak were delicious. The dessert (we chose the Chocolate Mousse) was one of the best we ever had. Service was very good and nice as well. Definitely worth a visit.

Day two of our short Swellendam trip, we ventured into the Koornlands Restaurant at the recommendation of our Hosts at Rothman Manor. It proved a delightful evening, with superb, flavoursome food, good and friendly service, and a lovely inclusive ambience. We majored on Springbok and well aged Steak, and were tremendously satisfied with the quality, presentation, flavour, and portions. Decidedly... More

We had a delicious Swellendam dinner in this nice restaurant along the main road, sitting outside on the terrace on a warm, breezy night. Starters (green salad, kudu), and mains (aged beef fillet with veg, springbok) were beautifully presented and delicious. Service was friendly, attentive, and excellent. We enjoyed some Springfield Whole Berry cabernet with the meal. We will gladly... More

Description
Koornlands Restaurant is the longest serving restaurant in Swellendam, established in 1994. We pride ourselves as being amongst the finest. Warm, friendly and always professional. Our menu often changes due to the seasons and availability. A menu gegustation with wine pairing is available for table participation. Our venison is legend and so is our comprehensive wine cellar. Dine alfresco on the veranda or the garden. We care about vegetarian and vegan preferences.

Reservations are highly recommended, due to limited seating.
