What a magnificent establishment. The experience starts with the journey through indigenous fynbos where you can clearly see the efforts made to get rid of foreign species. The restaurant,’s double volume with glass walls creates a beautiful light space with walls tastefully decorated with beautiful...More

This is the most dramatic setting for an architectural tour de force. The building high above False Bay complements the beautifully presented and delicious modern cuisine. While expensive for South Africa ( in London the price would be three times more!) the quality, attention to...More

While trying some wines at Waterkloof we thought we would try our luck getting a seat in the restaurant. Given it was the day before Mothers day there were some tables available. We went for the degustation menu with Wine pairings which has 14 dishes...More

As you will see from my other reviews I tend not to post a review about places that have disappointed us. However this is an expensive restaurant and the standard should have been so much better. We had booked this restaurant for a Monday evening...More

When paying R1500 for two people, one expects an evening that is unforgettable. We ordered the 3 course meal and although the food was of a high standard, I found that the view was the only thing that I really loved about the evening. The...More

I came with an open mind after reading some quite mixed reviews, joking about having to go to Mac Donalds afterwards, since some reviewers complained about small portions whilst others raved about the food. We were greeted with warmth and elegant courtesy and soon pondered...More

This was total theatre. The drive up through the vineyards, the arrival, the architecture, the stunning view, the warm greeting, and the amazing ambience of the restaurant are the overture for the symphony of tastes and textures delivered to the table with panache and style...More

Staff not motivated and unfriendly (yet 12% service charge which is higher compared to most restaurants where it is 10%). The food...when having a look at the pictures, it speaks for itself. Especially the one with the 'vomit' sauce and the undercooked raw fish (it...More

Meeting among friends at the famous Waterkloof Wine Estate's glass box fine dining restaurant left us truly dazzled with the modern architecture of glass and concrete. We decided to enjoy a starter and all of us tried a different one. So far so good. A...More

Hi, agree with the previous comments. Waterkloof is an excellent restaurant (with a wine tasting lounge) with a fabulous view, but is not a B&B. Definitely need to check your travel plans. Hope this helps.
