Quite pricey and not a great variety on the menu but absolutely fantastic food - with unbelievable flavours that work perfectly together.

We had a foreign quest and love taking people to our Winelands. We had never tried this restaurant before. What a lovely meal.. Great springbok.. All courses beautifully presented. Very good value for money. I would recommend trying it !

We stopped off at the Holden Manz winery for a wine tasting and hoping for lunch, but not sure if we would be able to have it as the leaflets seemed to indicate that we should prebook. Following a quick look round we found this lovely looking restaurant upstairs doing a la carte menus and with beautiful views of the... More

This is restaurant slightly off the beaten track. However it is one of best that we have been to in the area. The rib eye steak is excellent. The service was exceptional and the view is fantastic. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

People who travel to Franchhoek tend to stay on the main rood. This little gem of a restaurant, tucked away on the Holden Manz Wine Estate is well worth the drive. Food was fabulous, service excellent.

My husband and I pre-booked a picnic lunch at Holden Manz from the Franschhoek Kitchen, and we absolutely loved it. It cost approximately 420 rand, including sparkling water for the hot day. The picnic basket included a cheese and tomato salad, duck liver pate, olive tapenade, fruit confit, delicious homemade bread, vegetable salad, meats and cheeses, biltong, and a bottle... More

Brilliant view of the mountains~~~service was good but the food left much to be desired~~you are locked into their tow course or three fixed price~~~thus if you only want one course to bad so sad!!! Their "take" on the Cesar Salad was enjoyable and different but trying to make an Bouillabaisse outside "the box" didn't work~ the angel fish used... More

A very pleasant evening on the terrace with good views of the mountains and the valley. The food was interesting if not outstanding. Definitely worth a visit but there are better in the town.

Wine was very good a bit overpriced for what it is. Food was unbelievable and they made every effort to give me meals that were allergy specific.

The Holden Manz wineyard is apparently owned by mr Holden and Mr Manz, the latter being German. This must be the reason for the surreal experience I had when being seated on the balcony terrace with the superb view of the Franschhoek mountains and then hearing: German music! Of the serious, 'heavy' type. Even the two German couples who were... More

Description
Welcome to Franschhoek, one of the culinary hot spots on the African continent. Our estate restaurant - Franschhoek Kitchen, is rated one of the valley's leading restaurants.

Franschhoek Kitchen's standards are based on the best international cuisine but our heart lies in the simplicity and pureness of each and every ingredient. High dining is for others, we prefer to see our guests enjoy a home-made dish, inspired by the country we live in and the farm we work on.

Our vineyard is heavily influenced by the seasons, so are we, so is our food - nature at its best, brought onto your plate - either in the dining room, amidst the vines outdoors, or in form of a picnic along the Franschhoek river - always with a glass of award winning wine from our estate.

Are you going to be taking a adventure on Franschhoek's super popular WINE TRAM? Make sure to stop at Holden Manz and enjoy a light meal downstairs to fill the gap or our delicious a la carte menu upstairs on the deck overlooking the majestic mountains of Franschhoek - a must do!
