Big group of us pulled in for the 3 course option and was impressed without knowing too much about the place. For starter I had the duck liver which was ridiculous! Instead of crackers they use duck skin crackling. Epic choice!!! The lamb option was not as exciting but still excellent. Lovely setting with very relaxed service which makes you... More

Called here for lunch. Whilst we were there a phone call received by one of our party meant that we had to hurry our visit. We explained our situation and the staff couldn't do enough to help us. They were quick with the service and the food was excellent. Would definitely call here again.

We've been returning every year to Bread and Wine since we first visited Franschhoek over 10 years ago. Tina Jewell and her staff are always so attentive and friendly. Unfortunately, the changeover (a couple of years ago) to a fixed menu option of either two or three courses has spoiled the dining experience for us. We don't want to eat... More

We arrived quite late and without a reservation - they happily fitted us in and gave us a wonderful lunch. We returned a week later with the whole family (and this time with a reservation) and had another wonderful lunch - excellent food served by lovely staff on a shady patio. Returned a third time to stock up on their... More

We had a fantastic lunch under the shady terrace at Bread and Wine. The staff were most welcoming. The menu is not huge but there is something for every taste. The food was excellent and enjoyed by our party of five. The children particularly enjoyed the pic 'n mix boards. There is a comprehensive wine list. We loved the Miss Molly... More

Bread and wine has a delightfully shady terrace in a beautiful setting, a pleasure even on the hottest day. The service is always welcoming and charming and the cuisine, inventive with fresh zingy flavours. The fixed price menu is now quite expensive though the wine list is pretty reasonable.

We had a fantastic lunch under the shaded patio. We opted for the deli lunch combining a cheese and charcuterie platters. You also get lovely fresh breads and crackers. Add a bottle of bubbly and we had a feast. Not too many options to choose from but the quality and taste makes up for that! Great tranquil atmosphere and the... More

Now in the Moreson stable the kitchen is still under the stewardship of Neil Jewel master charcuterie the food is always pleasing. Just beware the food is served on wooden boards and the lashing of oil dripped through the knots and through the open tables onto our clothes. The Moreson wines are if excellent quality and the service is always... More

Lovely shaded patio. They do a full set lunch (booking essential) or you can have a light lunch from the deli. We had the latter, a lovely plate of cheese and one of charcuterie. Lovely fresh bread and crackers too. We also had the flight of 3 wines each, one set of red and one of white. Recommended!
