The Pour House is part of the locally well-respected PJ Whelihan's chain. It features typical tavern food: burgers, salads, sandwiches with a special feature being a gourmet oyster bar. The noise level is HIGH (all wood surfaces). My maple burger was a cut above your...More

My friend and I went to the Pour House on a Sunday and it was crowded. It is a loud sports bar decorated entirely with photos and album covers of male Rock and Roll musicians. I had the Little Neck Clam steamers and, yow! They...More

The better half and I have been here many times, and have never been disappointed. Strange, because we are not big oyster fans, and not really big beer drinkers. While I have indulged in many of the craft beers, some good, some not so good,...More

My husband and I finally settled on this place and we were pleasantly surprised. We went to 2 other places down the street and the service was slow so we left both places and ended here. Good service, cold beer and good salads. We will...More

This is your typical loud, crowded bar marketed to 20-30ish set on weekends. Food is mediocre: drippy hamburgers (not bad, just not good) and slow service. We had a large party of about 12 that had dinner in the upper restaurant and then moved to...More

What a nice surprise. Living in SNJ all this time and never had gone to the Pour House. Figured it wouldn't be much different from PJ's. I liked it way better than the flagship. Had more of an English pub feel than the more cavernous...More

Probably one of the best burgers I've ever had. Food is great every time, appetizers are different than the usual bar fare and good. Nice rotating selection of beers. The only problem is this place is loud and even louder than you would think a...More

You can also sit further away from the bar and it is quiet. I have never heard it loud during lunch time. The later it gets, the louder it gets.
