The St. Moritz in Sparta has quickly become one of our favorite restaurants in the area. The service is friendly, albeit a bit slow at times even when it's not that busy, but the food is consistently very good. We've tried just about everything on the menu, and we have yet to be disappointed by a single dish. Actually, it... More

Was here 3 years ago and didn't like it then . Figured we give it another try. Sorry we did. Expensive crappy dinner. Had the special prime rib . Dried out bland piece of meat. Nothing on the plate was appealing veggies and mash potatoes were also horrible. Wont be returning.

There is a section on the menu called small plate entrees, so we decided to choose one of those along with an appetizer. We both ordered the short rib and scallop and that's exactly what we got, one small slice of short rib and one scallop over mashed potatoes! Although it was tasty, it barely wet our appetites. In fact,... More

Four of us went for dinner on a Saturday night. The restaurant was very busy and even though they had valet parking, cars were lined up in the street, making the parking a nightmare. We ended up parking on the street about two blocks away. Our table was ready but it was partly in one dining room and partly in... More

Always running and between meetings in Sparta on Saturday I decided to have a bit of lunch at the St. Moritz. It's a beautiful restaurant and has ample outdoor seating. Many people who came in for lunch wanted that outdoor time as the weather was in the 60's. That's unheard of for Northern NJ in February! I was by myself,... More

Lunch was great. Very attentive staff. Food was definitely worth the trip. We had a late lunch and I don't know why this place wasn't busy. I'll definately be back. Don't skip the Creme Brule.

First time having dinner at the St.Moritz. We were seated promptly at the time of our reservation. The restaurant is fairly big and there is a bar with a band that starts playing at 9pm. The service was good and so was our meal. One thing to be aware of is the small plates on the menu are really small

Stopped here for an early dinner. Nice casual atmosphere, but I have a feeling it could get loud when busy. There is also an outdoor beer garden for warmer weather. Good craft beer menu. Good dinner menu with a decent variety of entrees, salads, and sandwiches – but only a couple of German selections. The soup of the day was... More
