We enjoyed a delicious lunch here recently. Everything we ordered was wonderful - the grape leaves, roasted cauliflower and the Street Food platter (with grilled chicken). I look forward to dining here again for sure! Service was very friendly and attentive.

The food is good, but if you go with a group bring cash to pay. This restaurant can't or won't do separate checks which makes tipping and only paying for what you personally ordered a nightmare if everyone only has cards. We basically wound up...overpaying the resturant $30 on food with what was supposed to be the servers tip because she plugged it in wrong.More

My fiance and I ate at Kyma rather unexpectedly for lunch today and we were very impressed. The atmosphere is lovely! service was good. Our hummus and toasted pitas were excellent. The calamari appetizer was good just could have been cooked a minute more! We...shared chicken souvlaki which was superb. It was tender and very tasy. The french fries were very good. Greek salad that came with the souvlaki was perfect to pair with the lunch. We definitely will be back for dinner. Prices were reasonable and portions were large.More

I celebrated my 50 th wedding anniversary lunch at Kyma , the popular Greek Cuisine restaurant at Somerville on 14th May 2022 with my wife ,son, daughter and her family. My daughter who had been on a visit to Greece with family in Feb 2022...suggested this venue. We reserved table for a 2.30 pm slot and were promptly seated. I found the place very clean , and tastefully decorated with Greek artefacts. Our menu chosen consisted of zucchini fritters with feta mint and garlic yoghurt , and falafel for appetizers .The main course was Chicken Souvilaki , Beanzino fish baked with potatoes , brocholini in avocado cream sauce , Gigandes - Greek beans ,plum, tomatoes , onions ,fresh dill and feta , falafel bowls with herb rice/ Greek salad/ Tzatziki and Beets - Mandarins/ pistachio /arugula/goat cheese / citrus dressing. The food was sumptuous , very tasty and the hospitality and service excellent. On the whole a memorable afternoon spent with my family on such a special occasion.More

We traveled almost an hour to enjoy our magnificent meal at Kyma, and we were NOT disappointed. Our server, John, was attentive and able to recommend menu items for me that were both gluten and dairy free. We selected stuffed grape leaves, sauteed shrimps, zucchini...fritters (not gf), grilled lamb and grilled beef kabobs, mussels, and falafel (not gf). Each item was flavorful and beautifully presented. They offer both indoor and outdoor dining. I can highly recommend Kyma for your dining pleasureMore

I don't get to dine at finer and authentic Greek restaurants because we just don't have any where I live. We were celebrating a family member's birthday and this was the restaurant that was chosen. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. And it's a...BYOB so even better. Our server was extremely patient with our rather challenging group. Even with the kitchen being backed up I don't feel like the wait for our food was ridiculously long. The place itself is very pretty inside but very loud. Now the annoying things. This is yet another restaurant that slaps a hidden fee onto the check. We were forced to pay a credit card fee. Nowhere on the website or the menu was anything mentioned about this. I am so sick and tired of restaurants doing this. If we know a restaurant does incur a fee, we appreciate the transparency but will not support a business that puts fees back onto their customers. Another annoyance was they refused to see us until our entire party was there. I know this is a trend many restaurants are going to and the reason makes absolutely no sense to me. Us and another party were all standing in the front of the restaurant crowded together. Not smart with COVID! To to sum up my review we enjoyed the food and our server. However the undisclosed fee and having to wait for our entire party to arrive to sit at our table are just outright obnoxious.More

My second visit to Kyma was for an early dinner on a Friday evening. Arriving just ahead of the crowd we were able to get an outdoor table for two right away. The spreads we ordered came right away and were generous and delicious. Our...server was very friendly. The Bronzino fillet was two pieces which came with spinach, potatoes, roasted tomatoes, and a tasty yogurt sauce. Unfortunately one of the fillets was a little dry and overdone. Otherwise it was a tasty dish. My wife ordered the Gyro street platter which was a generous serving of meat and salad. It was very good but a lot to eat. We skipped dessert and I ordered a Greek coffee which our server insisted she was very good at making. I think she got busy serving the indoor parties and the coffee arrived lukewarm. We do enjoy dining at Kyma and will return.More

Love this restaurant! Service was great and the food phenomenal. We started with the 4 dips and pita and veggies. All were delicious. We then had a few small plates - mussels, octopus and lemon potatoes. Every single thing was excellent. Portions were generous, we...left stuffed. I can’t wait to go back.More

We just finished one. Of the best Greek dinners we ever had outside of Greece itself. My wife and I and our 16 year old grandson insist on eating only outside because of the Coronavirus pandemic. The last time we tried to have dinner at...Ky a’ the tables were so crammed together and closely spaced that we turned down our reservation because we were afraid of getting infected. Tonight, however, it was entirely different. We did not have a reservation, but were still able to be seated immediately at an outdoor table a safe distance from anyone else. And the food was superb. We shared the assorted spreads with pita and veggies. My wife had Branzino, I had the grilled seafood platter of scallops, shrimp and Branzino, and our grandson had the souvlakia platter. Everything was delicious. And for dessert, we shared the most wonderful ouzo and fig ice cream. This is a BYOB restaurant, and our waitress was nice enough to direct me to a wine shop a block away to buy a chilled bottle of Greek white wine. The pace of service was perfect ; not too fast and not too slow. And the price was very fair considering the quality and quantity of the food we had. We will return every time we are in this area.More

The food at Kyma is consistently superb. During this quarantine you will find many restaurants food is not up to par when done to-go. Not Kyma! Their food is just as good after the ride home. Their food was great before all this, and it'll...make me appreciate it more when things open back up again. The atmosphere is relaxing and the decor is beautiful, They updated a few things recently. So if you haven't been here in a while, stop waiting! They sell Old York Cellars Wine in the lobby now with the dining room closed. Greek food and a bottle of wine in one stop! Yes please!More

My Wife was celebrating her birthday and we wanted a really good Greek Restaurant and I really believe this place is it. We arrived with our whole family for a gustatorial experience. Our waiter was fantastic and were very pleased with the quality and preparation...of the dishes we ordered. Everything typically Greek was well prepared and presented. I'm a fan of lamb shank and anything with orzo as a base I also asked for a side of well done French fries and they arrived perfectly, and getting ketchup was no problem.. Their deserts were fabulous and my wife had a fantastic birthday experience here. Their. Service and food quality was exceptionally good. We look forward to returning in the near future.More

We made reservations a day ahead for dinner at 6. I am hearing impaired and asked for a quiet area, due to my impairment. They noted it on the reservation. Imagine my surprise when we got there, to an almost empty restaurant, and we were...seated in the middle of the main area! I reminded them of the reservation request and we were moved to another less than ideal spot. We stayed for dinner, which was OK, not great. I doubt we will ever be back.More
