Visited the bridge following numerous recommendations by family and friends for Sunday lunch. Arrived as per booking time however, we were presented with a menu which most definitely wasn't Sunday lunch. They had clearly run out of Sunday lunch but neglected to inform us of this and offered us beef. The beef turned out to be steak with a selection... More

So runs the old song. You won't find this one without a satnav. Go through Longtown on the road beyond Clodock at seemingly endless farm-mudded narrow road until a tiny junction - 4-way with B&B farmhouse on the left and imposing old church ahead of you. Slip unseen to the right past the old Church House and over a tiny... More

Stayed a few weeks ago. Amazing location, gorgeous building, great food and generous portions. I asked for a ginger, lemon and honey as I wasn't feeling great - not a problem. We stayed in one of their rooms which was wonderful - maybe need some insulation under the floorboards (although this may be hard to do as it's an ancient... More

During a walking holiday in the area, 9 of us lads descended upon the Inn, needing a table and plenty of food and drink. The staff happily obliged, and turned a blind eye to our raucous, loud and occasionally sweary behaviour... They then found a nice nook to feed us in, slightly away from most of the guests in the... Went with friends and was offered drinks but no wine menu offered so ordered glasses of Shiraz along with other drinks. Sat down to look at menu which was just an A4 sheet of poorly printed paper. No starters, just Olives and Bread available. Not a good selection of mains but ordered Persian Lamb. Disappointing when it arrived as although... More

After a day's walking this was a great place to come back to. Evening meals at the pub were hearty and wholesome. Breakfast was a feast that kept us going for the day. Glyn and Gisela clearly love their part of the country and the welcome was warm. They are fantastic hosts. The farmhouse is full of character, the rooms... More

Wonderful food, beautiful setting & the staff are lovely. The pub is a little rustic but quite cosy & when the log fires burning you really don't want to leave but equally in the summer it's lovely to sit outside & listen to the water & the birds.

Stayed for 2 nights in the B and B and had a great time. Very comfortable with superb hearty breakfast cooked by a genial host! Ate at the pub both nights and had some lovely food served by very friendly staff. Very peaceful location and came home relaxed.
