Had dinner tonight at Cousins and was not expecting the incredible food and personable service. Portions are huge and food was superior. We had the crab and shrimp scampi and, by servers recommendation, the chicken parm. My husband loved the scampi - with mushrooms, artichoke...and tons of crab and shrimp. Couldn’t finish it but ate all the good stuff. The sauce for the chicken parm was amazing - just like my moms. Flavorful, smooth and could have just eaten the sauce, but the chicken was tender and perfectly made. Just one note - our server was a star - sweet, talked with us, joked around and made our dinner that much better. Thank you Cousins for a wonderful anniversary date night for this duo.More

I don't want to leave a bad review so I will try not to. This place has everything you might look for in a restaurant. Good menu selections, friendly staff, local neighborhood spot, etc. . But it just misses, the food here is not good...tasting from our experience at last night's dinner. There were 4 of us that ate. We ordered 3 different appetizers, and 4 entrees. Appetizers were ok at best, if I had to choose the clams casino were good. As for the entrees only one would stand out as ok. As other reviews had stated also it was the white sauce dish, seafood and chicken over pasta. DO NOT ORDER anything with the red sauce, too thick and had a funny taste to it, no jokes here. My entree came out, Veal Parm w/linguini, looked good. However, I had to remove all of the water from the bottom of my plate, a "faux pas" in the food world. The hostess saw me doing this and instead of bringing the plate back to fix this she brought me some paper towels to assist, ha very funny but I appreciated it. Again, because of the red sauce I couldn't eat it. The owner kept insisted that I wrap it to take home but I didn't want it nor did I take it. She tried to make a joke but at this point I'm still hungry and I'm going to leave. Avoid the owner if you can, she has a way about her you wont like, trust me. Desserts not good; apple pie probably from Shop Rite, bread pudding not good, and chocolate torte from the freezer. I think the menu items are well priced, meaning it's not a cheap restaurant. And at these prices the product should reflect a better quality let alone the taste of the food being better as well. The waitress, who was awesome and only her third day, brought us boxes to wrap our food up. We didn't want to be rude so we wrapped it but threw it out soon after when we left. I am in the food business, I own a food corporation and serve hundreds of thousands of meals per year, also A classically trained chef (French/Swiss). I never look for a 5 star meal but would like to eat a good tasting dinner with my family. Going out should be a treat not a task of leaving a review still looking for answers of what happened with dinner last night. Maybe their kitchen had an off night, maybe a new cook that should make a better red sauce, who knows but we wont be back nor can we recommend this restaurant to dine at. RichMore

We stop by during our stays in Ocean City. The food is always fresh and delicious! Best white linguine and clams! Every time we dine here the food is great! Worth the wait!

We have been dining at Cousins for many years, and have loved the food and atmosphere. They have always been good with honoring our reservation time, although service was always a little slow. This has been a tough year for restaurants, and I hope that...Cousins will prosper this summer, but our dinner last night, although delicious, wasn’t served hot, it took way too long, and the prices are too high.More

Chicken parm looks nothing like picture above it was so fried and burnt there was no chicken inside. The sauce is just ok . The bruschetta was so old it changed color and look like old salsa not to mention the little toast were stale....Looking for a good meal try the Island grill it was so fresh and good. Not to mention when calling here so rude and yet complete opposite at other places. Very disappointing night on our vacation.More

Our family of 4 adults ordered complete dinners, appetizers twice in 2 weeks because the food was excellent. We all ordered different entrees both times, so for 8 dinner selections, Cousins went 8 for 8 in being delicious, hot, well packaged for take out, and...fairly priced. Dinners wete ready and organized for pickup when promised. Great value, great spot!More

I was in town for the half marathon the following day and saw a great picture of this restaurant in the OCNJ book in my hotel room. I went in and was asked if I had a reservation, so I said I would just carry...out if I could. I was given a menu and told that the 4:30-5:30 specials are not carry out, which was fine. The hostess returned and said there was still time to get the specials if I want to eat in, so I decided to. I was alone and was sat in the back not far from the restroom. As I sat continuing to look at the menu, a young man popped up and said what did I want to drink. He let me know it was unsweetened and it came out fairly quickly , but no straw. About 10 minutes or so and a waitress comes up- what do you want to eat- wow! I placed my order. The bread and butter, which was good, came out shortly thereafter. I got my bruschetta, just set down on the table in front of me. Then my pasta and crabmeat with red sauce came. Huge portion, plenty of crabmeat, not bad tasting...but again the waitress, here’s your food. Yep, I felt like I was a bother and she just did not want to be at work, especially after they sat a family behind me and I heard her welcome them to Cousins, etc, etc. Then the people a few tables in front of me who arrived just before I left, got the specials told to them (regular specials, not the ones printed on the menu for the 4:30-5:30 time period). She seemed to loosen up just a bit part way through my humongous bowl of pasta because she did bring herself to ask if everything was ok. As I wrapped up my meal, the young man came back through and asked if I wanted a carry out container, I said yes. He brought it out and actually put my food in the container for me and actually made eye contact on this occasion. The waitress brought my check. Not an expensive meal. Food wasn’t bad, not exceptional, but that could be because I felt so weird with the attitudes. I usually tip on the higher end of the spectrum and often above that, but in this case, I kept is at 18%, it was all I could do not to drop it to 15. So they got $7. As I was leaving a waitress passed me and said to have a good evening, the hostess said thanks for coming and something else, but by then I could barely open my mouth to respond and unfortunately, they probably thought I was rude. Oh, I will mention that my waitress did ask if I wanted dessert or coffee, but by then not only was I full, but I wanted to get out of there. I should have just gotten pizza or something on the board walk. Maybe you have to be a regular. They have outside seating as well. The inside is somewhat small and the ceiling is low, luckily I am short, I saw one man have to tilt his head to come through the door. It got pretty busy by around 6 pm. I was there a little after 5 until about 6:30. Disappointing...I can’t wait to get back home.More

Been coming to Ocean City for years and never visited this place, well that was a mistake. Had dinner on Saturday night with a group of four. They take reservations and we got in right away. Bethany was our server and she was great. I...was a little afraid because the menu definitely says Italian and seafood and I wanted steak. Well I got the rib eye and it was delicious. The others in the party had seafood and chicken. We all enjoyed our meal, and I won’t wait so long to go back.More

We had dinner and sat inside, they also have outside seating. The family style salad with warm Italian bread is a plus. We had the calamari with the spicy sauce on the side and it was delish. Lemon, garlic and a light spicy kick. Entrees...are shareable nice size portion. They also have a nice special until 5:30. Enjoy our diner and Ocean City beach...nice way to end the summer.More

We did not have reservations but it was not crowded when we arrived after 7 pm. The service was a bit scattered and they placed us towards the back near the single lavatory which was bothersome. There were other tables available and we felt a...little forgotten back there except for the steady stream of customers using the bathroom. I think we had 3 different servers attend to us. Not sure who was our server. The food was wholesome and overall, tasted good and not expensive. I would go there again.More

We went to Cousin's on a crowded holiday weekend (Saturday night of Labor Day weekend), and it was the best dinner of the summer! The staff was very polite and helpful. They made us feel so welcome and took care of everything we needed. The...food was great and no one left hungry, that's for sure. The halibut special and the organic chicken parmigiana were excellent and so were the appetizers - the stuffed mushrooms, clams casino, and clams Las Vegas were all awesome. We are going to try to get there one more time in September and we can't wait to go back next summer!More
