I went to have a meeting with a client and I had a over $200 gift for him. My client was delayed and I sat at the bar to wait, then I got up and went to the bathroom with the gift in my hand,...and when I came out, I forgot the gift in the bathroom. After about five minutes, I realized why that happened and went to the bathroom and the gift was gone. I spoke to the waiter, who directed me to the manager, who was the owner of the place, and I told him to please take a look at the cameras, and ask questions to the waiters and he responded to me that he was too busy and it was not his business to do that. So I called up the police and waited and waited and waited in. I decided to leave and went to the corner to have an ice cream and by then the police showed up and I spoke to them and told him what had happened in I was supposed to make this review a long time ago and I didn’t but I heard somebody else had a similar experience also. They lost a good client that has been going there since late 90s. The response that I got from this owner was very irresponsible since he didn’t care about me the client, and he didn’t realize that it was going to affect his businessMore

We had dinner at Tapas de Espana last night, and this is a mixed review. The service was very attentive, and we were seated upstairs supposedly a quieter area, because downstairs by the bar the noise is intolerable, and sure enough when we got there,...it was mostly empty, but as it started filling up, the noise level was painful. My husband ordered a Spanish omelette with chorizo that was more like a western omelette, I’ve never seen a Spanish omelette with peppers, and the chorizo was like Italian sausage, and you had to look for it with a microscope, then he ordered a churrasco that had to be sent back because it was undercooked. I was finished with my dinner by the time he got his steak back. On the other hand, I had cod croquettes that were really not croquettes. They were breaded, cod pieces, but they were good. Then I had veal with a port sauce that was delicious.More

We have passed by TDE for so many years and finally decided to try it. Unfortunately, the Covid rules are in effect so we ate an early dinner outside on a hot Sunday. This equaled a small table and a lot of street noise from...all the traffic. We opted for tapas only and here is how it went. Chicken Villaroy, Bacalao Croquetas, Octopus in olive- these were all excellent. The beef empanadas were ok- the pastry was good but I didn't like the beef filling. We didn't try any entrees but I would definitely come back for the tapas.More

This past February, I went to Tapas de Espana with my wife and children and My sister and Her children. It was my 60th birthday party. My wife and I have been there several times before. The food is fantastic and the ambience is beautiful....If you're looking for a place with authentic Spanish food, it doesn't get any better than this...More

Second time trying this restaurant, and I didn’t particularly enjoy the food on either occasion. Restaurant has a nice atmosphere, but wouldn’t recommend the food.

I love this place. Get there early, it is always busy. The food is great from tapas to entrees. Love the sangria, one of the best around. Feels like your eating in Spain.

What a wonderful way to spend an afternoon! Stopped into Tapas de Espana for a light lunch and libations. We ordered the shrimp aioli and the grilled calamari. So delicous! The Sangria was amazing, too. A great place to relax and enjoy authentic cuisine, great...service and great atmosphere.More

Not much more to say. Def make reservations, glad these were made in advance and it was far to travel from morris county but delish and the best meeting spot for our group of four. May be a rival to Fornos in Newark, but Fornos...has more seating space. Worth the trip!More

There were eight of us for dinner to celebrate my Aunt Daisy’s 70th Birthday and we were seated immediately. We ordered several tapas and they were all delicious. I had the croquetas de pollo and I’m telling you, I hadn’t had croquetas that good since...my trip to Spain. The churrasco was huge, the filet mignon I wine was succulent and enough to share. Honestly everything was very good, and dessert was good too.More
