We have been to Antons at The Swan many, many times and have never had a bad experience. We went with friends this past weekend and were disappointed with half of our food choices and the service. The potato pizza appetizer that we looked forward to was dry and overcooked. There was only one choice for salad and no flexibility with changing the dressing, so if you don't like apple cider vinegarette, you were out of luck. My husband ordered the pork chop which was overcooked. When the dessert came out I commented on the small portion and the piece missing from the bottom of the slice of cake, the waitress replied "I ate it." Service was slow and we had to ask to have our water refilled, at one point my husband got up and refilled our water glasses. On a good note, two of us ordered the rare tuna and it was delicious. And, as always, the cocktails are second to none. I would give our experience a 3.5 rating but there is no option for half of a point.

This past Saturday night, my husband and I were set to see a tribute band at a local place. Every restaurant in the immediate area, including the show venue, had no open seating for dinner. I happened upon Anton's at the Swan and am very happy I did! It is not large restaurant, but cozy and intimate. My hubs and I were pleasantly surprised to see candlelight at every table; in fact, we were extra happy as it was a cold and miserable evening. We were shown to our table by Rachel, who could not have been any sweeter! After drinks, I began with the Mixed Greens with Apple Cider Vinaigrette. When it arrived, to be honest, I was a little thrown as it was simply...greens. Nothing else - no tomatoes, no carrots, nothing....and you know what? None of that was needed. The greens and vinaigrette were perfect and I so enjoyed it. For our entrees, hubs had the Grilled New Zealand Venison with Garlic Potato Gratin. He could not stop raving and begged me to try it; however, venison is not my thing and so I declined. I had the Filet of Beef with Fingerling Potatoes and Gorgonzola. One word: Perfection. Cooked beautifully, it was the best meal I've had in a long time! It was then time for dessert and hubs went for the Cheesecake with Raspberry Sauce, while I tried the Butterscotch Pot de Creme with Pecan Biscotti.....HEAVEN!! Two days later, we are still raving about Anton's! We will be celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary in May and you can be sure that we will be at Anton's!

My friends and I had an excellent dinner Saturday evening at Anton's. We were unfamiliar with the place and made a chance reservation for dinner as we attending an afternoon event nearby. The menu choice isn't big but *everything* we had from cocktails to dessert was very, very good, as was the service. The atmosphere was relaxed and cozy with some calm, non-obtrusive music in the background. The various dining rooms and bar areas, over two floors, are eclectic and full of interesting antiques and other items. I would say this is an "adult" restaurant good for romantic meals or an evening with friends and less appropriate for family events and children. I hope to go back next time I am in the area.

We have been enjoying the food at The Swan for over 10 years, but it seems like things have changed post Covid. “No crab cakes because it’s too expensive” which is what our server told us and the Griggs town chicken was all bones and no chicken. I guess that the breast of chicken they normally sell is too expensive as well. The salad was oily and not tasty which was not normally the case. We feared getting dessert as after a poor salad and disgusting entree, we were concerned what corners they would be cutting with dessert. I’m sorry to say that the swan is not living up to their past reputation. I would gladly pay more more for the meals they served before. We may not return at all following this meal. Please do not get the chicken if you go, but maybe think twice about going at all.

Terrible terrible terrible. We’ve eaten here a couple times a few years ago (inside) and it was amazing! Best steak we’ve ever had. We ate outside today, which has a different menu. Very small menu, but whatever. We each ordered a burger with lettuce/tomato/onion. They don’t have tomatoes or fries…again, weird but whatever. Waitress was extremely odd. We asked what the Hanger steak was, she replies “it’s the cut of meat, it’s very tender”. We asked “oh like a filet?”. She replies “ha not that tender”. Just odd. The burger was absolutely inedible. It was so burnt my nose burned when eating it. I tried to just eat the middle. We went down the street and got dinner somewhere else. Also not sure if they have high chairs or not? We had our baby on our lap and no one offered or asked. We didn’t ask for one as we just assumed they didn’t have any as that’s the first time no one has asked us.

We just moved into Lambertville and discovered Anton's ...and so glad we did. While we ordered "to go", we will definitely be returning to enjoy this charming restaurant tucked along a quite side street. Staff was engaged, caring and professional...simply wonderful! (plus parking right beside the restaurant is a joy)

We had dinner with another couple last Wednesday. We went to Anton's at the Swan. It's known for being a combination of a popular neighborhood bar (the Swan) connected to an upscale restaurant. (Anton's) They do a fine job on pandemic protocols. The 17 table dining room is now a 6 table room. Paper menus. Very well done. The dining room has a Victorian feel, since it's in a historic type building. The artwork in the dining room is paintings done by celebrated local artists. We started with cocktails. They looked large. So far, so good. Three of us started with the carrot ginger soup. ($ 9.00) It was good. One person in our group thought the soup was hot, as in spicy. The fourth person had the chicken liver pate, which was deemed quite good. The restaurant makes its own bread, which was excellent. I had the swordfish on pasta puttanesca. Three good sized pieces of fish on an excellent puttanesca. It was about $ 30.00. My wife had the crab cake appetizer ($ 15.00). It appeared to be more filler than crab. We ordered a couple of the same dessert. I think it was a chocolate lava cake with Szechuan peppercorn flavored ice cream. (About $ 10.00). We've never seen that before! The cake was ok and the ice cream was pretty mild. We had a nice French Sauvignon Blanc ($32.00) with dinner. It was good. Are there negatives? The menu was more similar to bar food, featuring s selection of pizzas and burgers. They did have those pretty good appetizers and entrees. The menu might have been simplified because of the pandemic. Service was good. I would return.

I was taken to this restaurant for my birthday. The atmosphere is amazing. The wait staff were friendly. The food was not bad, a bit overpriced for what you get. It’s a very limited menu, and a bit of an odd menu. I ordered the swordfish which was on a bed of creamed spinach and while it tasted ok, there was just something missing. The complimentary dessert for my birthday was a nice surprise.

Had dinner in the main dining room at Anton's. It was a cozy room with a lot of historic charm and a bit of a speakeasy vibe. The waitstaff was very friendly and attentive. They have a decent selection of cocktails, wine and beer. The menu was a little interesting to navigate. The salad and white pizza appetizers were both good. The mains were good but not outstanding. The pork chop we had was tasty but a bit well done. The dessert was a nice treat and the black pepper ice cream was very unique and delicious. Definitely want to give it another visit. Also hope next time to have tome to visit the attached bar as it also looked very cool.

10 of us reserved the beautiful smaller dining room upstairs on the 2nd floor. We had a most lovely evening this past Saturday night. Each item selected by the chef was delicious, nicely complimented the other courses, and was perfectly timed. The dishes, the friendly service, and the beautiful room where we dined added up to a beautiful night. Thank Anton’s for a special evening!

It’s a rainy day….perfect weather for a cozy and friendly bar experience. Not today! The bartender at this establishment had us out the door with one glass of wine (far from our usual pour). A Bartender can make or break a first impression. Yes, this business has been around for a long time. Yes, I understand that this employee has also been around for a long time…..but, every customer counts and even the smallest effort can make a difference. Not even the smallest effort was made to be either friendly or accommodating. O well, on to The Boat House….lovely, friendly service. Looks like we will stay awhile on this cozy rainy day.

Let’s start off with the good points of our visit. The service was top notch. The hostesses, the servers and bartenders were all very nice and attentive. The food was delicious as well. The things we feel gave them the lower score was the menu. We hadn’t been in a while yet we felt there was little to no change in the menu and there were no specials. We also noticed ( and we are nit picking here) that since Covid they no longer have the white table clothes. It was a nice touch we miss. Also instead of white tapered candles in the hurricane lamps they have tea candles. We will go back. We just hope they make some changes.

We were staying in New Hope and had a delicious dinner in this romantic restaurant. The dining room is charming and the staff is very attentive. Food was delicious. We started with the Stilton cheese with apples and bread. I had a wonderful chicken dish with a mushroom cream sauce. My husband had the pork chop which he liked very much. The apple dessert was okay but not delicious. We were so happy we chose this great spot to celebrate!

My husband and I went to the Swan (the bar attached to Anton's) for a nightcap during a recent trip to the area. A local had recommended we go and we are so thankful for the recommendation. What a unique place. The atmosphere and decor were fantastic, as was their drink menu. It was late in the evening so there weren't many people there. We enjoyed our drinks on the leather sofa in the lower lounge area. It was a perfect end to our night. A hidden gem for sure!

We love Lambertville…. Now we love Anton’s at Swan. We sat in the friendly bar area. It was a busy Saturday. I ordered a specialty Martini that was a scrumptious. We shared butternut squash soup and a delicious salad. Hubby had a very good rate runs and fresh vegetables dinner. I chose a delicious squash and goat cheese flatbread pizza… yummy. Obvious The Swan is the place to go!
