We enjoyed having Justin as a waiter. He was very accommodating and considerate of my multiple food allergies. Patience and kindness was appreciated greatly as I did not realize my allergies would affect what I ordered. He took it back and had new item made. The food was just as amazing as the service. We will be back!

We were on vacation for three nights in Lambertville and made reservations for Lambertville Station based its ranking for Restaurants in the area. My husband is a Pescatarian, (a vegetarian that will eat fish) so I look for a menu that we both can enjoy. We had high hopes for our evening and I wish I could write a more positive review especially after a post-covid shutdown because so many restaurants have suffered. We arrived for our reservation and asked if we could sit outside, there were tables available, however the hostess quickly told us no, that they were short staffed. We understood, as this is a common issue right now, so we accepted it and got a booth by the bar. We wanted a relaxed evening, so we only ordered drinks and an appetizer to start... The calamari, which is often our go-to appetizer. In the 30 years we have been dining out together we have NEVER sent back anything... we could NOT eat this calamari. Chewy, frozen tasting, and a flavor that was "off"... we each had a couple pieces and looked at each other and knew this was wrong. We've eaten calamari that is chewy, that might be over cooked, but this was bad. Even the dipping sauce was disappointing, an "asian" liquid of some sort which was watery and not even a sauce. When our server checked on us we apologized but had to send it back. She was an experienced server and took it in stride, and comped our bill immediately. Our experience with the Calamari made us weary of ordering an expensive Entree so my husband had the Blackened FishTacos and I had the Steak and Cheese. My husband's fish was not blackened at all, in fact it was breaded and we think pan fried. He thought the taste was fine but not what he was expecting. My steak and cheese was fine, nothing special and ladened with orange cheese. We both agreed the food was average at best, something we would expect at a local sports bar, not a nice restaurant and after sending the appetizer back, we were eager to finish the evening. I will say the server was experienced and attentive, but we found the hostess to be harsh and the food to be lacking. With staff in short supply, and clearly the quality not representative of what prior reviews have stated, I hope they can improve their performance because it's a lovely spot and very pretty from the outside. As of right now, there are much better places in Lambertville and New Hope that I would recommend over this establishment.

It seems like it is always a good idea to have dinner on a night that is not busy. This past Sunday a friend and I had the crab cakes ($36) and French onion soup ($9) both were excellent. The crab cakes had almost no breading and the soup was quite rich. There is no need to order bread with this meal (there is an extra charge) it is very filling. We also had a bottle of Bridge Street chardonnay ( $32). This is an excellent wine bottled especially for this restaurant. Our waitress was Donna. She answered all our questions about the menu. Her attitude and service was outstanding.

We'd passed this place often and it looked interesting, so we thought we'd try it. We called in advance to find out what the seating policy was. We were told to make a reservation for indoors and that we could ask for outdoor seating if it was available when we arrived. We had a 7:15 reservation. We arrived 30 minutes early. There were numerous (maybe 6-8) empty tables outside and some wait staff who were standing idle. My wife informed the host/hostess (there were both) that we had a res, but would like to sit outside. The host/hostess informed us that we'd have to wait until our reservation time and then go on a waiting list for outdoor seating. Wha? How does that make sense? If we had just walked up and not mentioned the reservation, we would have been seated immediately, as we were seeing others do just that. Anyhow, after about 15 minutes they did decided to seat us outside: on the sidewalk, in the sun, at what looked like a makeshift table. We asked for something on the side of the restaurant (where everyone else was), which got us some sideways glances from the host (who, by the way, was rude the whole time). He eventually took us to one of about 5 open tables on the side, near the canal. He dropped the menus on the table and walked away like a petulant child, without saying a word to us. So our waitress came and she seemed nice. She took our drink and appetizer order, made some suggestions for entree's and overall seemed like she would salvage the night. I ordered the crab and lobster salad. Basically, it was pieces of crab and lobster on what looked like a few leaves of bibb lettuce with a few shoots of watercress. It was definitely not a "salad", it was more like crab and lobster on a dressed plate. I was not impressed for the price. We finished our meals and requested the check. The waitress disappeared for the next 15 minutes. I had to ask for the check again and she came back about 5 minutes later. So, from start to finish, it was poor and inconsistent service. The food quality and presentation was nothing to write home about. The prices are unusually high for the quality of meals that we received (and we dine in NYC often). Sorry, we wanted to like this place, but in the end we decided that this would be our one and only visit.

Went to Lambertville Station Restaurant for early dinner after reading it had the area's best safety protocols. Hostess grabbed linen napkins with her uncovered hands and waiter also arrived without latex gloves. I told him to come back once he had them on but should NOT have had to ask. Ordered lobster roll without mayo or celery and it came without a roll too, so had to wait for them to find one and bring it to my table. Service was quick considering the place was crowded but food was only average at best. And the bare hands of the staff were a glaring violation of proper safety protocols.

Had dinner here the week after Christmas with another couple. The greeting was warm, the decor festive and the food wonderful. I and my husband had the lobster and crab bisque, silky smooth and crammed with seafood. Then I had the rack of lamb which was cooked exactly to my taste and my husband had the pork, also delicious. Everyone loved their meals.

I have to say, I don't think I gave this place much of a chance prior to this first visit here. We frequent Lambertville a lot and have always made it a point to avoid the places that look like the tourists are calling. We decided to give it a whirl one early fall evening when my husband and I were just out-and-about. The service was attentive, the food delicious, and a seat on the outdoor veranda exactly what we were looking for. We didn't feel to close to the street and our tables were adequately spaced outside. In fact, they held off on seating someone at the table nearest to us until the end when they were beginning to get busier. We enjoyed an excellent meal. The lambchops appetizer was divine. Very meaty chops that really could constitute a meal and justify what would otherwise be a steep price. The jambalaya was flavorful and I was able to take a portion home for another meal. My husband who eats very particularly was very satisfied with his burgers and perfect fries. This restaurant gained new fans and we will be back as outdoor seating recommences.

Perhaps I ordered the wrong items, but the best thing on the menu was Brussels sprouts, but I can make that home. My main entree was a simple arugula salad with a piece of medium salmon on top. The salad was drenched with dressing and the salmon was pre-medium. I couldn’t finish it and, as a Rican kid who grew up poor, I always finish my food. There was something off with the service staff - eg, One day there is no availability for Saturday night and the next day there’s plenty of availability. I can’t recommend this place.

Our 1st time eating here in the main dining room. Our waitress Theresa made us feel like old friends. The menu has amazing choices for everyone. A great selection of wines and liquors. If you have a Special bottle of wine, bring it, a small corkage fee. Indeed a great dining experience.

Went there on Sunday February 27th. I had called the day before and specifically made reservations for the buffet which we had heard was great. Their website references it. Their phone system references it. The person who took my reservation confirmed it. When we arrived we were informed that it was no longer in the ballroom (with the views of the water that we were looking forward to) but rather in the station house. When we got to the station house, we were informed that there is no longer a buffet. Just a very limited brunch menu. We drove 90 minutes each way for the experience only have a mediocre meal that failed to deliver on every level. The staff was courteous, no issues there. But we all wound up eating things we didn’t want. They need to update their website and phone system to reflect the change and need to educate the staff that is taking reservations as well. This was a poor experience. We would not return if it was a 5 minute drive.

Basically been coming here for years and used to be much better. Arrived at 11:50 am and got in line to be seated outdoors. The hostess took more than 5 minutes to seat the party in front of us and she was moving with no sense of urgency, proceeding to set their table. We decided to go inside and get seated inside since it was taking her so long to seat the people outdoors. Was seated right away, but was initially sat at a table away from the window when there was ample seating by the windows, so we requested another table, and were able to get a better seat. Why not just seat people the way you’d want to be seated? Then, it took a good 10 minutes for our overworked waitress to come to our table. She was the only server in our area. She alway seemed too busy to check on us for the entirety of our lunch. Even after I asked her for a refill of water, just once, mind you, at the end of our meal, she said ok, but never returned with more water. French onion soup was very spicy/hot, too much pepper, I believe. Lobster bisque not hot at all, just warm. Turkey/Brie panini bland and not pressed, but more dough-like bun. Flavorless. Lunch salad so small, price high, salmon as an add-on. The bread that had been free is now listed under starters at 6.00. All cocktails 15 and up. We went prepared to spend money and have a celebratory lunch, but couldn’t wait to leave. Our local diner is better than this place. It’s gone downhill. Our waitress was not at all what I expected of what was once my favorite destination lunch spot. We discussed, and aren’t planning on returning any time soon. We will venture into neighboring New Hope next time. We actually didn’t like the lack of service so much, that we left and got dessert and after dinner drinks in New Hope at a restaurant with better atmosphere (music and attentive waitstaff). Im disappointed in the lambertville station restaurant.

This place gets very busy, so come early if you don't want to wait. I visited on a Wednesday in late September for lunch. I arrived shortly after noon, and was seated outside right away. There were very few empty tables and as soon as one set of guests left, another arrived. They seemed a little short-handed, too, as my server was taking care of at least 6 other tables. He hosted, though, and I didn't have to wait long for anything. I had a simple meal that involved a cup of the soup of the day, a beet and arugula salad, the drink interestingly named "The Experiment," which was very tasty and not too sweet, followed by cappuccino and pumpkin cheesecake. I didn't have any company that day, and my lunch came to $50, plus a $10 tip. Ok for an occasional treat, which is what this was, but be prepared to drop $100 for lunch if you are dining with a guest.

I was here a year ago and had the Jambalaya which I thought was very good. I just returned with the lifting of Covid restrictions and was excited to have the same meal. It was not the same meal. It was the same menu item but not close to the same experience. The meal came in a similar bowl but the presentation was so different. Last year it was a Jambalaya over rice allowing a distinction of the ingredients. This time it was a bowl of liquid with the contents floating or submerged in it. It should have come with a sieve to allow the capture of the solids as they attempted to avoid the fork or spill off the liquid filled spoon. You should be able to eat Jambalaya with a fork. This meal could only be tackled with a spoon.

So many appealing choices - based on the menu and eyeing the tables around us. We wound up both the day’s special omelet (mushrooms, cheese and sausage) and loving it. Spicy Bloody Mary was perfect (& we are very picky about them) and service was just right. The place has a very cozy feel - especially when it’s 25 degrees outside! Strongly recommend.

My wife and I walked across the bridge from New Hope Pa. on Saturday May 1st at 3:15pm. We forgot that there was no drinking without eating. We approached the host who told us that he would let us sit and drink in the wine bar without food for a 1/2 hour for $20. Needless to say we walked out and will not return to a place that clearly doesn't care at all about the customers or the rules.

I would like apologize for the lack of service you received during you recent visit. This is not the level ov service we have become known for over 38 years. We do not have a policy of no drinking without eating or that you can sit and have drinks without food for a 1/2 hour. The employee that told you that made a grave error and I am extremely embarrassed that the host made such a comment. Please email me at rose@lambertvillestation.com so I may have the opportunity to make this right.
