Janice is such a great innovative chef. Everything is always on point. She has old standbys that are always welcome- but her specials are well just that special. It's BYO - so bring your favorite drink!

We have enjoyed our occasional meals but the restaurant is very dark and often very noisy. Not a good place to go if you want to relax and catch up with a friend.
After three years of being a loyal customer they completely disappointed me last night. I ordered mahi tacos, which I had tried on numerous occasions. Yesterday they seemed unusually spicy. I asked my husband to try them and he agreed that something was different. I asked the waiter what kind of fish was used in the dish and it turned... More
Small restaurant, nice ambience inside. It was not super busy during midweek lunch. We had the short rib sandwich which was delicious. The chicken salad was tasty too. Our fries were warm and tasty. We had prompt service and we enjoyed byob.
My friend and I had a nice early lunch this past week at Just Janice. We had their Cauliflower soup (yumm!), an Autumn Brussel Sprout Pumpkin Seed salad and the Seared Mango Tuna salad ... everything tasted so fresh and were very good! Our service, a knowledgable young lady, was also very sweet and most prices were fair, tho desserts... More
Let me preface this by saying I had been here before and had a salad which was very good. This time my mother and I went for lunch . She originally ordered the pulled pork but was told they were out of it. We both decided in the shortrib sandwiches. We waited over 20 minutes for our food; two other... More
A very nice intimate place with tasty dishes but, the portions are small. So, order appetizers. One note, the noise level when crowded is tough. The fact that that music is blaring from the overhead speakers does not help. Turn the music off, it is really not needed.
Just tried this little bistro in Hohokus NJ. My wife had a great short rib burger with fries but my swordfish over risotto was outstanding. Also try the beer battered onion rings because they are real not frozen as other restaurants serve.
Barolo: Thank you for joining us for dinner last week and for your nice words. I'm glad you enjoyed our Swordfish presentation and our onion rings! Hope to see you again soon for some of our fall specials! More
Just Janice gets better and better ever time (I didn't think that was possible). My friends and I love to go for lunch. The menu has so many amazing sandwiches plus cool specials. And the staff are all incredibly friendly. The most recent time I went, I got David's healthnut sandwich and it was sooooo good. The grand BLT and... More
Farrelma: So glad you have fun and a great meal when you join us for lunch! Let us know if we can add anything to improve your next lunch date and hope to see you soon. More
A small but fantastic find in HoHoKus NJ. The setting is unique with tin tile ceiling. Staff are attentive without being burdensome. The menu changes seasonally and there are specials daily. The menu varies from burgers with short ribs moist and tasty to grilled salmon with mouth watering options. Brunch on Sunday's is a treat with chef specials.
