I came here Cinco de Mayo with 5 four friends and had a great meal. They could not have been any more busy for this rare Saturday Cinco de Mayo. I was put off going in by some of the very mediocre reviews and frankly...More

Very average Mexican food served in an enormous facility located in Riverside Square an upscale Bergen County shopping mall. Great quacamole made table side and decent Mexican food. Full bar, plenty of parking, friendly servers and high prices round out this restaurant.

Had dinner there last night- I’ve never been or heard of this restaurant before. The food was very good- I especially liked the freshly made tortillas that came with the guacamole, which was made in front of you. Nachos & sauce were good as well-...More

It's pretty basic mainstream Mexican food. Large tables with plenty of room makes it good for conversation/business. The staff hard peddle the tableside guacamole and margaritas. Churros were undercooked in the middle but hot and sweet. Parking near the restaurant is practically impossible, day or...More

We went with our family and 3 grandchildren ages 6 thru 9. We had no reservation and they accommodated the 7 of us immediately. Then, the woman who brought our guacamole asked the kids if they’d like to help her make it. I swear, they...More

Two of us ordered grilled shrimp over rice and one of us ordered a different seafood dish. The shrimp was good but the rice was cold and bland. Nobody was terribly excited about their entree but not of it was horrible - kind of just...More

Considering this is a commercial chain, i did not have high expectations. But the food was pretty good, Skirt steak stake was delicious, the only negative its pretty expensive and I don't think the food justifies the cost. But overall its good.

We were for lunch for a family event. The location is close to the mall, parking available, the interior is not very interesting but well maintained and plenty of space. The menu includes a few interesting Mexican dishes. I found both entrees that we had...More

Description
Our first Rosa Mexicano to open in New Jersey is located at The Shops at Riverside in Bergen County. The 160-seat restaurant features a spacious bar and lounge area, as well as outdoor and private dining options. Under the creative direction of architect and designer Timothy Higgins, the decor features vibrant colors such as vivid pink, deep maroon, rich butterscotch and warm yellow. Traditional craftwork and adornments include Oaxacan wood carvings of mythical animals, custom wax-dipped artwork, Mayan Indian textiles, and folk art masks. Tortillas are fresh-made on-site at a station featuring colorful tiles and a hammered copper hood. Through the unique designs and cuisine, all will encounter an authentic Mexican experience at Rosa Mexicano.
