We went here for breakfast because we heard they have great pancakes and during the summer they have a line around the corner of people waiting to get in. From what we can tell the line around the corner is due to their small amount of space in the dinning room and slow kitchen. We waited a long time for... More

I was not impressed with the food scene in Cape May and The Mad Batter was typical. First the good. The restaurant is set up so many tables are on the front porch and even in early season, this was very pleasant. The menu is extensive with entrees in the $25 to $35 range. I ordered the "special" and did... More

The food and service were excellent. The wait time for a table was 40 minutes, but the bar seating was comfortable and available right away!

The atmosphere and service were great. The crab cakes were the best I ever had and I live at the Jersey shore. The acoustic guitar singer really made our evening.

Stopped here for breakfast after reading the great reviews. Ordered the blueberry pancakes and can honestly say it was a winner. Enjoyed a fresh made mimosa which was also tasty. The only reason I rated my review as Very Good instead of Excellent was because the service was very slow and the restaurant was not busy. It took a long... More
