Cash is a necessity in Cape May at many of the restaurants so come prepared. However, this is a BYOB, so you don't have to cover the wine or beer on the menu. Food was very good and all the seafood dishes were well prepared. Side slaw and rice was very nice accompaniments. Didn't have reservations and had to wait... More

Very fresh original food, in a pretty atmosphere. Much of food is locally grown at the Beach Plum Farm nearby. Small dining room so can be noisy if crowded.

I come to Cape May once a year, always the first week in September. There are many places to dine in this quaint little town, but none in my opinion can "top" Louisa's. The staff and the quality of the food is superb and if I could dine there every night, I would! I recommend this wonderful hidden gem to... More

Don't miss this gem! You'll get delicious fish and sea food and can bring your own wine. The waiters were very attentive and the entrees we had tasted fantastic. As usual in Cape May, be prepared for a cooled down dining room with AC.

I have been going to Louisa's from almost the day it opened and have loved every single dinner there, mostly with Doug and Louisa. Since they opened, I don't think I have ever come to Cape May w/o eating there...sometimes twice a week. We just had dinner there and I feel they exceeded their bounds. My wife had the scallops... Not to be missed. Small café. Excellent service. Unique, healthy dishes. Do not miss the watermelon lemonade. The flounder was light, tasty.

Three of us are at Louis's Cafe last night and it was, by and large, a positive experience. Caesar salad, a perineal favorite of one member was deemed excellent with just the right amount of garlic in the dressing. Two of us shared the peanut Sesame noodle appetizer and found it to be OK, nothing to write home about. The... More

I have been a regular visitor to Cape May for decades and have never had a bad meal in any of the restaurants there, but this is the place I keep returning to for a convivial, local vibe and the freshest of food. This is not a romantic-dinner-for-two restaurant, but an intimately small, brightly blue and yellow, reconnect-with-people place. For... More

The restaurant was recommended by people staying at the same B&B as us (the Bacchus Inn), and we made reservations. The tables are close together, but it doesn't feel uncomfortable in the slightest. The restaurant is cash only, and boasts an assortment of locally sourced foods. I had the flounder, which was superlative, and my sweetheart had the crab cakes... More

Even though we have visited Cape May many times, this was our first visit to Louisa's. The restaurant is tiny but the food and service are excellent. The food is farm fresh and so delicious! Reservations are suggested. BYOB. Cash only. Located on Jackson Street and the Washington Mall- look for the blue and white exterior behind Lynn Arden's Children's... More

Description
Serving fresh simple seafood dishes here on Jackson Street since 1980. All our desserts are made right here each morning. Stop by the Chocolate Bar where we have the most delicious Artisan chocolate being made in the beautiful USA! Call for current hours. Our hostess is here at 4. We do not seat any children after 7pm - that is when we begin adult swim.

Have fun in Cape May and thanks for stopping by!
