Sit near the Piano and enjoy the music and great food. Teri the sommelier has the best recommendations.

I was expecting a top notch experience but the Bernards Inn surpassed my expectations. The list of wine by the glass is the most extensive I have ever experienced. The scallops entree is not to be missed and my colleagues raved about the veal chops. The creme brulee was exquisite! The strawberry cream with scones was unusual and outstanding as... More

The main dining room is always quiet and elegant. The wait staff is always attentive. The menu was varied and interesting. The appetizer of warm crab crepe was delicious but the tuna tartare was just ok. The veal chop was enormous and delicious as were the halibut and steak. The desserts were equally as yummy, especially the coconut bar. It's... More

I grew up in Bernardsville and lived there for about 16 years -- recently moved to NYC. I've always heard about the Bernards Inn and it always had this extravagant and illustrious connotation, but I was simply not impressed. You would think when you go to a restaurant/hotel that is so highly regarded, you would be taken aback. If the... More

We had the pleasure of attending the On The Rocks & Rolled Event on February 24th. Amazing does not do this event justice. It was classy, informative and beautifully done. My guests and I truly enjoyed ourselves and are looking forward to attending more events at the Inn.

Attended the recent 'Rocked and Rolled' event and could not have been happier. The service was fantastic and the host was wonderful. She even went out of her way to add an unexpected guest for us. Would highly recommend and will certainly be attending other events here.

The Bernards Inn is a beautiful establishment. The waitstaff is impeccable. The bar is simply gorgeous, and I love to stop in, and have a drink. I find having a meal there is less than satisfying. There is a lack of imagination if you will with the preparation of food, no interesting flavors jumping off the plate at you. It... More

We arrived with a party of six to celebrate a family occasion. The restaurant and the service were impeccable but the food so very disappointing. The Lobster Pot Pie had a few lumps of lobster in a soggy pastry crust on the bottom and a mélange of small vegetables in a sauce that tasted like a simple roux of burnt... More

We recently celebrated my sister & brother-in-laws 52nd wedding anniversary with a dinner at The Bernard's Inn. We have been there several times & have yet to be disappointed. The service & food is excellent. The menu offers duck, chicken, lobster pot pie, venison, steak & several fish dishes. There is a tasting & pairing menu & an a la... More

We decided to enjoy the Bernard's Inn on our 5th Anniversary. We requested a king size bed in an area of the hotel facing away from the train station. We were in room number 10 which was beautiful and it was also blessedly quiet. When we came back from our dinner, our bed had been turned down and truffles were... More
