Our group enjoyed cocktails in the tavern and shared the meatballs and grilled rustic bread, both of which were outstanding. We were so impressed with the food we decided to stay for dinner. The muscovy duck, salmon, and spaghetti a la chitarra were all delightful entrees. Be sure to try the desserts, the plucky cake which was a pistachio/Orange confection... More

eception slow. Waiters roaming but always looking lost. I asked for an Americano as a cocktail and was brought a coffee (American coffee). Food was very good but nothing exceptional. Certainly not worth the prices and the service. Tables are small and very close together.

Went for my husbands birthday on a whim bc it was one of the few places open on a Monday. Really enjoyed it. The steak specials seemed a bit pricey at $60 but they were wonderful. Ambience is lovely and historic yet wonderful decorated and lighted. Bar is warm and inviting. Very nice.

Extremely nice, traditional high-end Restaurant. Had the set meal which was excellent. The wine list is extensive - we called ahead and they made sure they had a bottle of Kosher wine for one of my business partners. I received some gifts from my colleagues which unbeknown to me the server saw. She brought me an unexpected and lovely Happy... More

If you look at my profile, you will see I eat out a fair amount. And that I go to lots of different restaurants. Last night at the Pluckemin is a reason why. We went her 3 years ago and had a great experience, great flavors. This time, well, something was lacking. First, our wait-person was a little slow in... More

We have been to the Pluckemin Inn numerous times in the past but it has been more than a year since this visit. We used to like to eat at the bar for a really good burger and fries. We had the same this time but we were really disappointed. First, we ordered our burgers medium and the center of... More

We went here for our 5th anniversary as we are going to the top 25 restaurants in NJ and it was very nice indeed and was also recommended by Wine Spectator for their wonderful cellar. We had a reserved spot in the dining room so I was a bit surprised to be taken to a room without tablecloths. I found... More

This restaurant was established to bring the standards and style of New York to fine dining in New Jersey. It has succeeded admirably for the last 10 years. A stable chef and manager ensure consistency year after year with seasonal orientation in the menu and creativity always at the forefront to ensure a quality, interesting meal. The wine list is... First time to the Inn and I was very impressed with the level of service and exquisite food served to all 14 of us. Everyone was pleased with their dinners and the interior of the Inn is an impressive historic inn with a lovely wine root cellar with private seating. The menu provides creative entrees with superior presentations especially the... More

Winter Wine Tasting Walk Around was disappointing. Too many people resulting in long lines and Ronald m being quite warm. Downstairs tasting room was dark and very loud. Wines were average - should have had crackers at each table to clean our palate. Butler passed hors d'oerves were okay, not great. Given this was fine dining and an example of... More
