We met friends for dinner. The service and food are impeccable. The wine list is extensive and fairly reasonable. The meatball appetizer was very tasty and the grilled veggie salad was awesome. The pasta entree and veal chops were THE best. It is such a...More

We loved everything at Massimo from the time we walked in with no reservation until the end of the meal. We were greeted by Massimo as he saw us waiting and wanted to make sure we were taken care of. He was completely charming and...More

Our visit to this intimate space revealed perfection of cuisine in Portsmouth. My distaste for crowds brings me to a number of coastal New England towns in the off-season for respite, and this restaurant somehow manages to maintain it’s reputation for wonderful meals many years...More

No, there are two sets of stairs, one short set to access the bar and a second long set to get to the restaurant that is below street level. I don’t recall seeing any handicap access features. I suggest you call to confirm.

Some of the meals come in a smaller size so it really depends on what you order. I think a couple could dine for closer to $100 if having just one glass of wine each. It is a lovely spot.

There's not a dress code, but I think you would want to look dressed up. The place is pretty elegant and I would hate to feel silly in anything less than nice jeans and a dress shirt.
