Wow this place was awesome!! We made reservations for 9pm and were seated no later than that. The restaurant has a very intimate feel. All the staff members were very friendly and made us laugh. I ordered the Tagliatelle Carbonara di Lazio and it was...More

Massimo's was a delicious delight! Had the mussels swimming in a tomato brodetto and a homemade burrata in a yellow tomato gazpacho! Finally, a small cannoli finished off the exquisite meal. Highly recommend this restaurant for Italian food with flair!!

My expectations were totally reflected in what I got from you. Food excellent as ever and service honestly spot on. Can't wait to be seeing you again.

We ordered a small bite, an appetizer, two entrees and wine. This restaurant makes us want to return to Portsmouth for another dinner.

We recently celebrated my wife's 70th birthday at Massimo's in Portsmouth, NH. What a fabulous night! The ambiance is old world, with lots of brick and cozy corners. Our party of eight was tucked into a small dining room at a round table, which was...More

So why did I rate it four instead of five stars. The ambiance, food ,service were all five star . However ,the whole concept was a little snobby. I come from a long line of Neapolitans and have visited Naples, and I had to ask...More

We have been here a few other times and found the bar area the most inviting although it can be quite noisy. The appetizers are good and pasta is as well. At the bar the bartenders need a bit of coaching if you are used...More

Some of the meals come in a smaller size so it really depends on what you order. I think a couple could dine for closer to $100 if having just one glass of wine each. It is a lovely spot.

There's not a dress code, but I think you would want to look dressed up. The place is pretty elegant and I would hate to feel silly in anything less than nice jeans and a dress shirt.
