2nd time here , found it on this site. Friendly staff, at lunch time busy but fast service , son and I sat outside on picnic tables making you feel you were at the beach (even though you were in a strip mall). Son had garden burger looked and smelled awesome. Had 8 ounce lobster roll, very yummy with buttered... More

My companion and I were in Portsmouth for an overnight trip. We stopped at The Beach Plum for a late lunch. It was a busy place even at 2:00 in the afternoon. It was neat and clean. We both ordered the small lobster roll and it came with a bag of chips. We were given a number to place on... More

We found this restaurant by chance, and it was such a find! Something for everyone on the menu, HUGE servings, and super friendly staff. We had burgers, fries and a foot long hot dog. Seriously delicious, inexpensive and big servings. I would definitely return to this restaurant and recommend it to anyone who doesn't want to wait for a long... More

They sell their lobster rolls by the ounce, and while they are good, Bea's in Conway have bigger chunks of lobster meat are great and less expensive. As for their belly clams, they were the best of the other four restaurants I have tried thus far.

One would think with all of the ice cream shops in the area that there would be great choices. The only good thing about my visit was that they accepted credit cards. A lot of the ice cream shops in the area don't. The ice cream was served mushy. If it's too soft, take it off the menu until it's... More

I’ve eaten here several times. I’ve had the signature five-star lobster rolls that Beach Plum is famous for, as well as the seafood baskets and dinners which are very good. Portions are always generous. I can recommend just about anything on the menu. The Beach Plum never disappoints! On this visit, a friend and I stopped by for a frozen... More

We live in Seacoast NH and have a large selection of seafood spots to chose from. The Beach Plum is our to-go spot as it is consistently good. I like to go every year for my birthday and when we have visitors in town they request to go multiple times. My husband and I split the 16 oz roll as... More

If you love lobster rolls, this is the place you want to visit. The freshest, sweetest lobster I have ever tasted. I have bought many lobster rolls at a number of restaurants, diners, etc. over quite a few years and none are better than the lobster rolls at the Beach Plum! Great menu of other seafood delights. This is not... More

Fast food atmosphere with picnic tables. All connected bench seating that could be difficult with people having knee or hip problems. Lobster Roll was all meat no fillers served on a standard New England style hot dog roll. We both ordered the 6 inch and were satisfied. Split an order of onion rings.

The Beach Plum opened in 1992 at North Hampton state beach as a breakfast and lunch restaurant. The next year, a better location became available just down the street (at it's current location) and it became a take out food and ice cream stand. That original location continues to operate seasonally April - October each year. Based on strong growth in the business at that beach location, a second Beach Plum location was opened at 2800 Lafayette Road (Route 1) in Portsmouth on St Patrick's Day 2011. This Portsmouth location features an expanded menu that includes award winning fried seafood with both indoor and outside deck dining. The Portsmouth Beach Plum was featured on TV Diner in 2012 and Phantom Gourmet in 2011 which named it as a Great 8 restaurant for both it's famous lobster rolls AND fried clams. The Beach Plum is believed to be the only restaurant in New England to be so honored as 1 of the 8 best for BOTH seafood specialties. In December 2015, a new Beach Plum opened at the Brickyard Square Plaza, 24 Calef Highway (Route 125),Epping,NH. That location shares the same menu as this Portsmouth location.
