My husband and I had our anniversary dinner here a couple weeks back and Peyton Place did not disappoint. We had not visited in a few years and it was great to see the service and food are still top notch. Heidi's descriptions of the...More

My old friend and I recently dined at Peyton Place on the recommendation of our innkeeper, and what a terrific experience it was! Peyton Place is in an old, lovingly-restored tavern/home which exudes history. The menu is on the blackboard b/c it changes often. We...More

We were looking for a nice dinner place in New Hampshire before going on the 2.5hrs ride back to Boston and found Peyton Place here on TripAdvisor. First of all, I have to say that I was reading all the terrible reviews AFTER we got...More

The Upper Valley has a lot of great places to eat, if you have just one place you need to go, it is Peyton Place. A very unassuming old farmhouse turned restaurant with a warm greeting by the host and a modest bar. The tables...More

While the food is delicous, it's a little less "full" of the good stuff that it used to have. Lobster salad has a little less lobster, the soup, a little less seafood, and the plates a little smaller. But the desserts still wow, unbelieveable. You...More

Dining here is an experience. Everything is made to order by Chef/Owner and if in season, grown by him as well.

We have dined at Peyton Place since before it moved from Bradford to Orford. It is always excellent. For a wonderful and leisurely dinner the little town of Orford offers up amazing possibilities.

At very short notice we decided to eat at Peyton Place while staying in the area. The ambience is lovely, such an old historic building. We were well looked after by our waitress. We had an appetiser & entree each and were delighted with all...More

The best things about Peyton Place are the things others criticize in the negative reviews. Heidi Peyton and her husband chef, Jim, are outstanding -- real pros. If you want quick, swift, commercial, big portions, and obsequious service, then don't go. If you want a...More
