All bread and no soup. My mom had seafood chowder, which they are suppose to be famous for. It was way to thick she said"it tasted like paste. The onion soup had no flavor no cream sherry. The onions had little flavor left in them. Just sat to long in the steam table. I instead on greyer cheese for onion... More

I had a great burger with fries. There is a good section of local beers. The portions are generous. My burger was juicy and delicious.

Excellent selection of top shelf alcohol.(they have Hendricks, and Uncle Val's gin, awesome!) This place has a real rustic appeal, and the wait staff was very friendly and quick as well. The food was not run of the mill pub food, it's better. Nothing deep fried like most places, the haddock sandwich was real baked haddock! I will come back to... More

This used to be The Widow Fletcher's and The 401 is a definite step up. The first floor features two bars with several TVs and each has an area with a few tables so you don't have to eat at the bar They tend to be loud.. The one towards the back of the building has an exit onto an... More

This is a local spot always full of regulars. The menu offers a great variety and everything we tried was delicious. Love the wedge salad with a choice of steak tips or chicken. Mac and cheese dish rates high.

Driving up Route 1, just picked 401 at random. Lucked out big time. Dogfish 60 minute on tap and ordered the triple play salad, seafood chowder and lobster roll. All were excellent, as was the service.

My sister and i stopped by here for a quick lunch on the outside deck with my children. The burgers were very good. My son had chicken tenders which are homemade and he enjoyed. The service was friendly and pretty timely. We chose to sit outside as it was a beautiful day out and the inside seemed very dark.

Good Pub food intermingled with fancier fare. Reasonably priced, good selection of brews and wines. Casual atmosphere, local feel.

My wife and I ate here and had a light dinner. We had lobster rolls with a glass of beer. The price was reasonable. The service was excellent and the atmosphere and music was great.

The Tavern is a great place to have dinner and drinks. It is a older building with a lot of classic artifacts on the walls. Service was very good. Food selection was OK. The Gluten frre meal was not what I expected. There was something on it for everyone. Sorry they do not serve French Fries.
