Order the pear Old-Fashioned from Sean, enjoy! I also had amazing grand marnier french toast the next morning!

Visited around Christmas time and this little pub was teeming with charm and warmth. We had cocktails and appetizers by the fire and neither disappointed! They even had cocktails mixed with spirits from a local distillery! Yummy and magical.
I love off-the-path places and Snowvillage in is a remarkable example. Great spirits and masterfully done food along with a relaxed atmosphere makes Max's well worth the trip. I have never been disappointed!
Had dinner and breakfast here. Absolutely superb. Very small and quaint. The portions for apps were on the meager side, but the quality overcame that as you didn't want to fill up on apps because the entrees and sides were so good. A little pricey, but not over the top by any means. We had dinner and a bottle of... More
My wife and I were in the area on vacation and visiting some old college friends who live very close to the Snowvillage Inn. We had never been to the Inn, or eaten there, so they decided to take us to dinner there. We dined on a Sunday evening and it was pretty quiet when we arrived. The atmosphere was... More
We are so grateful you enjoyed your experience at Max's at the Snowvillage Inn. We love offering wild game including antelope. Service is important to us. We like folks who dine and stay with us to be treated how we like to be treated when we dine out. We look forward to your next trip to the area. We will... More
Our inn did not serve dinner our first night there, but our innkeeper highly recommended Max's. The way to the inn in up mountain on dark roads. At times we wondered: were we on the right road? Happily, we were! We requested a table in the small tavern, where we snagged the last leek and potato soup, mm mm good,... More

My husband and I had two perfect dinners at Max's and I highly recommend the roast duck with their own Mt. Foss wild blueberries. But everything we tried from the menu was flavorful and beautifully plated including the lamb, the scallops, and their salads. A quiet dining room, well worth the drive from Conway, Max's is a gem. Attentive service,... More
So glad you tried the duck with Foss Mtn blueberries. It is one of our most popular dishes. Chef Willis is a talented creative person. His nightly specials are quite inventive. Heading from Conway We are about 10 minutes away, no traffic, not even a traffic light once you turn onto rt 153. Next time we hope you have a... More
Its really just that good. Exotic and adventurous fare mixed with solid stalwart staples of New England dining. Everyone will be happy. Beautiful atmosphere, great service, great location in the country. We're going back.
Thank you for your review! We look forward to welcoming you back. More
A group of eight arrived about an hour before sunset..had drinks on the porch and enjoyed the spectacular view for about an hour. We were then seated at a wonderful table for dinner. The menu and chef's specials for the evening were varied and sounding mouthwatering. When dinner was served, not one person in our group was disappointed. Delicious food,... More
I am happy to hear you had a great time at the restaurant and that the food and venue was wonderful. I am sorry that you had to wait such a long time for your bill. Your server was new and inexperienced in how to split checks...and I take full responsibility for this inconvenience. I hope you have another chance... More
Max's is located in the Inn, but one need not be a guest of the Inn to enjoy the inventive cocktail list or the diverse menu. Food is very good and the atmosphere is welcoming. The wait staff is knowledgeable about the specials, and if asked will gladly tell you their favorite items on the menu. Sitting in the front... More
