An early birthday, and the question, " Is this still as great as before their all star chef left?" brought us to one of our favorite local restaurants. The answer to our question was a resounding "yes"! Starters were superb: lamb lollipops and oysters. The...More

I never know what to expect with a hotel restaurant, but this is a historic hotel (it looks more like an old brick mansion) that is trying to be distinctive, not like everyone else. The restaurant is in the back of the hotel, and is...More

We sometimes stop by the Granite to grab dinner at the bar after work. The bartenders, Crawford and Robert are friendly and get to know everyone's favorite. The food is very good, the menu is varied and offers half- portions for those who don't want...More

The staff were really friendly and the food was excellent. The service is on the slower side so you have to have time to relax. My impression is that people in this area of NH are really friendly and the pace is a little slower...More

Ate dinner one night and enjoyed a breakfast one morning. The food for both meals (salad, steak, eggs benedict) was very good. Service was excellent Definitely need a reservation for dinner. The only disappointment was the Clam Chowder - a bit watery and bland.

The dining room of the Granite is truly beautiful. For an anniversary dinner, our party (two couples) were given a lovely table off in a side room, where we could hear each other talk and where the unobtrusive but attentive waiter made sure we were...More

The rainy night made the Granite's ambiance all the more welcome. Wonderful service, pleasant surroundings, nice menu. The meal was OK, not great, except for the delicious Creme Brulée

Almost 3 years ago, we went to this restaurant for my birthday and had a terrible time. The food was awful, the waitstaff had an attitude and my birthday was pretty much ruined. We did not return - even though the management sent us a...More

They are located in a hotel so I am sure than can manage dinner to take out. It isn't generally that type of restaurant. I also agree they can manage a gift card which would be a great gift!!!
