This is a great steak house plus a lot of fun to visit because of the history of the restaurant. Sides are ordered a la cart but three was plenty for four us to share. Caesar Salad and Cherries Jubilee were made table side which...was fun. French onion soup was fantastic. The service is outstanding. Be sure to ask for a booth and make reservation in advance!More

I had high expectations for my first experience at Golden Steer, and the Las Vegas icon met every one of those expectations. From atmosphere (love the Sinatra music) to service to presentation to the food, everything was on point. I had forgotten what good service...was like after the last 18 months, but the cadre of servers attending my wife and I were exceptional. I finished my glass of water and started to count how quickly it would get refilled. Didn’t make it to 10. I had the bone-in ribeye and my wife had the porterhouse. We both loved our meals. My wife said the Caesar salad (prepared table side) was the best Caesar she has ever had.More

We couldn’t get a reservation on a short notice, so arrived just as they opened at 5pm and sat at the bar. We got seats immediately. The bartender was very quick to get our order in. I preferred the bone-in ribeye with broccoli. It was...cooked to order and was a very flavorful good cut of beef. Very nostalgic decor. Old school Vegas.More

My family of four (with two teens) enjoyed a great dinner at the Golden Steer back during our holiday trip to Vegas. The meal was superb, the service excellent, and the atmosphere full of old school, Rat Pack Vegas charm. If you want to feel...like you are stepping back into 1966 Vegas for a great dinner...come here! We thoroughly enjoyed it!More

Start your evening with a fabulous choclatini made by Leann. Not only is it delicious but she puts a decorative design on top. No shortage of alcohol either. She is a personable and expert bartender. The gigantic lobster tail is not to be missed. Cream...corn has a cinnamon flavor. Cesar salad good. Service good. An old time steakhouse atmosphere. Don’t be put off by shabby strip mall where it is located.More

This was our first visit to Golden Steer and we will eat here every time we come to Vegas. It is in a strip of businesses but you are transported back as soon as you enter through the door. Service was some of the best...we've ever had. Like ever. Cocktails were great. Order the Golden Steer! Caesar salad was incredible. Our entire meal was wonderful and the whole experience was an absolute pleasure. I think I smiled the entire time I was there. Trust me. Book a reservation when in Vegas!More

I was staying in the Sahara and looking for a prime rib. I had no reservation and they stuck me at the bar. Odd but just after I walked in about 20 people followed me in and had to wait in the vestibule area. I...had a Pinot noir and green salad while waiting. When it arrived the prime rib was properly "medium" (10 oz -- $53) and worth the wait. I skipped dessert but did have a jolt of an espresso before driving back to the hotel. You can't walk to this place; you have to drive or do the Uber thing. Welcome to Las Vegas! Total bill, about $100.More

Heard great things but what a letdown. Bread was cold and stale, the steak was chewy and the service was poor. The meal was almost $400 and when I gave the manager some feedback on the meal she chuckled rudely to my face! I know...the place has a lot of history from the Rat Pack days, but trust me when I say it’s overrated.More

We visit here every Las Vegas trip we take and never a miss for us. Escargot and French Onion Soup started us off for a delightful evening. NY Strip with mushrooms and petite filet with baked potato piled our plate to the brim but we...saved room for dessert. Chocolate Crème Brule and Cherries Jubilee finished our evening along with the NOT TO MISS cappuccino.More

We first found the Golden Steer in 1995 and I’m happy to report they have survived the pandemic and are better than ever! The steaks here are the best, though my son ordered the lamb chops and they were incredible. The biggest lamb chops I...have ever seen, and a huge portion. They must use a different scale here, because the 8 ounce filet appeared to be twice that size. Nevertheless, it was completely devoured along with everything else we ordered. It was all completely delicious. The cocktail list was extensive and excellent. Do not be put off by the strip mall location. Step inside and you are stepping back in time. Beautiful, classic and the feel of a private club. Where you are made to feel very welcome. Make sure to gawk at all the photos and memorabilia. It is a history of Las Vegas royalty. Which brings me to the service. The service is impeccable, friendly and professional with absolutely no pretension. In fact, there was a lovely vibe and conversation between the various staff members, other customers and tables. It really did feel like and exclusive and private club. With outstanding food. Whatever Las Vegas restaurants are on your list, do not miss the Golden Steer. We can’t wait to go back!More
