4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed yesterday NEW

I liked the high quality, unusual way of serving some of the bar food. The poutine was excellent but definitely something to share. Loads of beer on tap and by the bottle. Prices reasonable for Vegas standards. Service was quick and much easier to get a table at lunch than in the evening.

Ate here a few times before. Typical bar food beer, wings, burgers. Etc... I had the steak sandwich first. Very good. Then the second time I had BBQ wings. During the afc championship game. Also very good, and for vegas pretty reasonably priced. If you're at Luxor give it a shot.

if you are staying at the Venetian give this a try. i went for a private party and the food was surprisingly good for party food and best of all there are tables where you can rest your weary self. this is inside the hotel so don't be confused by the street address.

Delicious bone in ribeye steak. Must try the fried cauliflower with chili sauce. Great service. Ask for Stephen!

We went out for a company dinner, about 20 of us. Public House was one of the few places where we actually could make some reservations. We gathered at the bar for drinks first and man, service was really slow. I understand the difficulty of providing 20 drinks in a go, but these fast majority were straightforward drinks. I mean... Jennifer was very helpful about all of the beers available 25 in all. We had apps of oysters and French sparkling water , wings and ribs were artsy & delicious. We took the Butcher block meats & cheese shop to go! Zurita Margarita Pineapple & Jalapeno infused Tequila & Trappist Rochefort 10 expensive but worth the splurge. Most expensive meal... More

The guys running this place know their stuff! All of the bartenders who watch over the 30 taps and untold bottles are certified Cicerones (beer sommeliers). We stopped in after a late flight and had a couple of local beers and a nice chat about the local breweries. We actually ended up making it a nightly ritual during our stay... More

Service was slow. Burger was okay, but a bit on the greasy side. I waited for my burger and fries a long time. finally the waiter brought me my glass of wine after almost twenty minutes. I just wondered what was going on. There were not a lot of customers in the restaurant at the time.

I met friends at the Public House for a late afternoon dinner. The food and service was fantastic and they have a great wine and beer menu as well. I will be back.

Excellent selection of beers on tap as well as rare bottles. Beer nerds will be happy. Bar area is a little too small...they should appropriate some of the dining room area to bar space.

Description
With a vast beer selection and generous portions, Public House, located on Restaurant Row in The Venetian, has all of the makings of a traditional tavern. What makes this contemporary adaptation stand out is the exceptional fare by corporate executive chef, Anthony Meidenbauer, hard-to-find cask beer selections, a certified beer cicerone and, a comfortable, hip atmosphere reminiscent of a Prohibition-era speakeasy that celebrates the classic tavern through the lens of modern design. The latest creation by Block16 Hospitality, the 8,000-square-foot contemporary tavern boasts a crafted a menu of rustic American classics with a new-age spin. The cuisine, “fun spins on refined food,” as described by Meidenbauer, includes selections inspired by beer such as the short rib, braised with Black Butte Porter, Bouchot mussels, made with Hogarten beer, shallots, bacon and crème fraiche, and Welsh rarebit, made with Tenaya Creep IPA. Other specialties include poutine, French fries served with duck confit, cheese curd and gravy, and scallops served with oxtail stew, potato cakes and mushroom jus. The menu features small and large plates, salads and sandwiches, steak frites, shellfish and bar snacks, as well as selections from the “Butcher Block” and “Cheese Shop.” Public House is home to a certified beer cicerone, who along with the skilled bar staff, assists guests with selecting a beer from more than 200 beer selections, including 24 beers on tap and three seasonal cask beer selections from specialty artisanal cask brewers. A climate controlled “wine cube” stores more than just a distinctive wine selection that pairs well with the tavern’s cuisine; it also provides a storage environment for 40 plus aged whiskeys, scotches, bourbons and beers. The cocktail list includes a concentration of classic cocktails, with an emphasis on quality and hand-made mixers and garnishes prepared in house. The ice used for every drink is made from reverse osmosis and carbon filtered water and formed in a perfect square, as not to compete with the delicate flavors of the drinks. The design of Public House, on the whole, reveals different environments through various nooks in the dining room. The lounge, which accommodates up to 60 guests, offers a cool bar scene accentuated by a 40-foot-long bar anchored by a DJ booth.
