My two girlfriends and I enjoyed an excellent meal here last weekend. The restaurant is extremely poplar (for good reason), so reservations are advised. We ordered egg rolls for appetizers, three different curry dishes and a bottle of wine. All three curries were delicious! The egg rolls were fresh with the perfect amount of crisp. Although the restaurant was full, the noise level was comfortable. This is a new location, they must have incorporated noise dampening in their design. The interior of the restaurant is well thought out and stylish. I highly recommend!

We had called in advance and made a reservation, so we were immediately seated once we arrived. The tables were spaced out very well. I had reviewed the extensive menu online, so I knew exactly what I wanted to order (Thum Ka Noon - $13) which is a Northern Thai specialty of pounded breadfruit mixed with pork. It did not come with rice, so I ordered a side of sticky rice ($4). My wife ordered garlic prawns ($32) which turned out to be all fried prawns in their shells without any sides, so she shared some of my rice. Some of the fried shells did not actually have a prawn inside which was odd. She also ordered a $5 cucumber salad which was a tasty blend of cucumbers and cilantro. It helped cool my mouth from my spicy Thum Ka Noon.

The good news, the food is excellent, reasonably priced and gluten free options offer a wide choice. The bad news can be found in the bill at the end of the meal. They add on a 3% charge to fund employee health benefits. If paying by credit card, they hand you a machine that gives you a choice of, no tip, 18% tip, 22% tip or 25% tip. The tip percentage is based upon the total bill, including 8% tax and the employee 3% charge. I suggest that you tell the waiter not to include the 3% on the final bill and make sure that they don't force to you use a default amount on their credit card machine.

We'd eaten here (before they relocated) and had a fabulous meal. This meal was a total disappointment. We decided to try one of the chef's specialties (a Northern-style tom kha ghai). In addition to being way to "hot," it was boring--once the server brought us a "tamer" version of it. A fried noodle appetizer (mee krob) was way to sweet. And the rib dish (khao soi) was boring and the meat was way overcooked. We will not be returning here.

The baby corn chicken stir fry is 95% baby corn, 3% chicken... I dare you to even find the chicken. This happened last time too, I thought it was just one bad time, but happened a second time so I guess it's policy. I have to say not good at all. Other items on the menu are great, but shockingly bad stir fry. Picture says it all. I like the Thai salad butt they serve hot peanut sauce dressing to pour on a cold salad. Crazy. And disappointed.

This is one of the best Thai restaurants I have ever visited. The service and food are both excellent. The restaurant is fantastic for vegetarians. Many items have tofu as a protein option. Multiple dishes can also be made without fish sauce. The prices at the restaurant are much more affordable than what one would find on the Las Vegas Strip. Yet the restaurant is a fairly short walk to the Strip.
For dinner - make a reservation well in advance. This restaurant gets booked fairly quickly.
For lunch - both times we went, there was maybe a 5-15 minute wait. They restaurant does not accept lunch reservations. But it appears that reservations are not necessary for lunch.

When an old friend came to visit Vegas I decided to take him here for lunch since his wife is Asian. We have not eaten at the Lotus of Siam for years since the last time we tried at their Commercial Center location it was an hour wait. What a shock to see what has happened at their new Flamingo location near the Strip. Most entrees were $30 or more and then they added another $5 to each entrée for sauce which should be part of the dish. The appetizers came with microscopic bowels with tiny spoons so that you could not dip the tasteless appetizers to give them some flavor. My seared scallop dish came with only 3 small scallops for $30 plus $5 for the sauce which should have been part of the entrée for almost $12 a scallop! My wife’s Penang Chicken dish came with a small amount of tough chicken and a sauce that lacked flavor. My local Thai restaurant in Henderson has a Penang Chicken with tender chicken and a flavorful sauce at 1/3rd the price. I have removed Lotus of Siam from my contacts list since I would never go back and apologized to friend for taking him there for lunch. He agreed that the food was just OK and nothing to write home about. I would recommend that tourists and locals stay clear of this once revered establishment that is now relying on an old reputation instead of quality food.

Went off a recommendation from a past local. Tried a little bit of alot. Me and the wife enjoyed the red curry with beef and pad Thai respectively. I did a heat level right in the middle and felt it was a perfect spice. Appetizer wise, the crispy rice was good, maybe too big of a portion. Pork filled chicken wing was delicious, and there was a coconut soup that was amazing. Finished it with a banana wonton with a side of coconut sorbet. There was a rice on the dessert menu that when it came out it seemed slightly unappetizing but otherwise everything else was great.

Already the rare Las Vegas recipient of a James Beard Foundation Award, Chef Saipin Chutima named Best Chef: Southwest in 2011, Lotus of Siam needs no introduction – though its recreation on Flamingo and fanciful digs at Red Rock suggest the Chef’s children have bigger things in mind about the Restaurant’s legacy going forward.
Having visited the unassuming icon of Thai Food twice prior, a lunch in 2012 and dinner five years later, Wednesday evening found the expansive new location predictably packed from Bar to back room where a party of four sat amidst locals as well as tourists.
Known best for spicy Norther Thai traditions and Riesling, though Thai Tea or Coffee may be prudent for those looking to quell the flames of dishes such as Steak Tartare teaming with Chilis, Lotus’ “Thai Ceviche” titled Koong Char offers a complex medley balanced by Citrus while Som Thum can be ordered the usual way or lightly fried with Tempura.
Requesting everything level five of ten, the stuffed Chicken Wings flawless but mild, Tom Kha Gai arrives spewing fire at the center of Coconut and boiled Chicken blended with Lemongrass while Sea Bass Som Thum presents steamed Sea Bass flaky beneath Vegetables, Sugar and Lime.
More pricey than Thai anywhere else in town, though the ingredient quality is undeniably high, Garlic Prawns earn signature status with edible Shells still on as do Nam Prik Ong and Crispy Duck Khao Soi that tastes like more assertive Panang Curry thanks to the acidity of Vinegar and Lime.
Lit up by Thum Ka Noon, or Shredded Young Jack Fruit with Pork, Issan Sausage delivers snappy Meat with deep yet pleasant funkiness while Grilled Ribeye Panang shows off Prime Beef resting in Chilis and Coconut Milk.
Not exactly “known” for sweet stuff, Desserts instead recited tableside, guests can expect the usual Sticky Rice and Coconut Ice Cream or opt for deep fried Bananas with Honey and a surprisingly well-crafted Pineapple Upside Down Cake served warm a la mode.

To madam Saipin Chutima,
It’s sad that i have to share my story of one of my favorite restaurants, during the last visit dinner time Wednesday 08/17/22 I had ordered a whole snapper $60 after waiting ½ hour someone from the kitchen threw it on our table, the fish was way over cooked and very dry, also it has no flavor whatsoever not even salt on it, upon talking to the waiter he went and got the manager in charge to the table, the manager did not ask us what was wrong with a dish nor introduced himself, he from the get go and without giving us the chance to explain to him our worries started saying “this is the way we do it and you got to eat it”, i kindly explained to him it’s uneatable, overcooked, has no taste and very dry, his response was “ill give you a desert” of course we refused and left. It is sad how a place with a good reputation gets ruined by an unprofessional manager. Hopefully this matter gets to madam Saipin Chutima and the owners of the restaurant, looking forward to hearing from you.

Stopped in looking for garlic noodles and shrimp. I read a review but it was talking about garlic shrimp and the best they ever ate! I was a party of one. I asked the young man if the shrimp was good. He said its the most requested. Fast forward 5 mins and my bowl of garlic shrimp with the body was attached on the shrimp. I was not aware of what was going to happen next. He advised me to eat the shell. “Sure?” Well I did and WOW they were AMAZING! Soft crunch shells with tender meat inside plus a side of rice. I had a cup of ginger tea. Thank you for the recommendation! Next to me there was a cute couple having a wondering time and she kept complimenting her food to her date. The music was light. The restaurants seemed to be liked by locals and I would love to come back again.

My family and I are at the Lotus of Siam last night. We are foodies and enjoy trying lots of dishes and fine wines. We have been coming back to the Lotus for many years and always look forward to the delicious Thai dishes. The food last night did not disappoint. It was tasty and beautifully presented. The service though was another story. It was absolutely disappointing! We arrived on time for our table but we’re told it wasn’t ready. We were happy to have a drink at the bar and wait. My husband stood in a line for the bar for 15 minutes without even having a chance to place an order. The bar tender was extremely slow at mixing drinks. In the time my husband waited he served two customers a total of 6 drinks. We continued to wait without a drink till our table was finally ready. Our server was adequate in her attention to our needs. The food as I mentioned was amazing. We ordered 8 dishes for our group and two lovely bottles of Viognier and Riesling. We were then told that the kitchen had their last call if we wanted dessert. We promptly ordered dessert. While enjoying our dessert our server started vacuuming around our table. We were taken aback at this rude behaviour. We did not get to enjoy the last part of our meal. We asked for the bill as it was an obvious hint to get out. We then asked for a taxi from the girl at reception who was too busy counting money to pay any attention. We called ourselves an Uber and left. Sorry we won’t be spending our money back here again! The Lotus has become too big to pay attention to quality service! What a disappointing experience!

An upscale Thai restaurant away from the follies of LV Strip. Surprisingly busy at the middle of the week, and lucky to get an immediate table without reservation.
The menu is a short 2-page list, suggesting a chef who has mastered his/her craft. It also has full bar, with fine selections of wines. I recommend any of their dry German Riesling, which goes well with the subtlety of Thai flavors and also quenches the heat of chilies. I went for von Winning trocken.
I find the seafood list of entrees to be most suitable as appetizers. I went for the Salmon Larb. Strips of cooked Salmon spiced with onions, fish sauce and herbs served on a bed of arugula greens and slices of green cabbage. The cabbage is a terrific way to scoop the salmon. Lots of texture, balanced spice and tartness of a squeeze of lime. It is really fresh and and vibrant to the palate. Ah, the Riesling does cleanse the palate for the main course.
Crispy Duck Khai Soi is truly magnificent. A northern Thai delight that one has to savor. Start with a spoonful of silken, surprisingly light coconut base broth. Ah it wakes the palate. Add more chilies, chili flakes, and fish sauce to your taste — the broth tasted grander. Add the other saucer of fresh onions and crispy fried noodles so delicately presented like a baby octopus. Then a bite of the duck - wow! Cooked to perfection, truly crispy though it’s on the broth, the fat remarkably rendered off. Then there’s the small portion of rice noodles deep in the broth. I’m not a fan of noodles, but this was truly something to savor. The last drop of Reisling truly made everything so satisfying.
Sitting at bar is an experience truly delightful with so amiable bartender and sommelier!
Kudos to the management for keeping the staff masked!

We had a 8:00 am reservation on the Saturday before Christmas and this place was rocking. Beautiful inside with wood accents and Muriel’s throughout. Our drinks and appetizers came quicker than you could imagine. For our entrees they got one of them wrong and it took asking 4 times and for the rest of us to finish before it showed up. There was zero urgency to fix their mistake. The sad part is the person who paid is the one that’s meal came after everyone else was finish. Btw it was Pad Thai. How long should it take to fix that order. Great food but because of the big faux pas I give them three stars and with so many restaurants in town I may not make it back. If they would have done the right thing and. Moped the meal for their big mistake I would be raving about that but alas here we are…a money grab. Too bad I enjoyed all the food.

We reserved the private room for a large group, then reconsidered during covid, so they delivered the meal - 10 courses including soup and dessert with instructions about serving. Also, we asked for gluten free, no beef or dairy and all were accommodated. They were wonderful to work with, and the Northern Thai dishes were great. We especially loved the fish - the lobster and whole fish.
thank you!
