I don’t get to eat authentic tacos like Cabeza, Tripa, lengua, etc. on the East Coast. I was looking forward to eat those meats on a rich salsa verde and did not disappoint. Best tacos I ever had. I am going to compare other tacos...to this ones from now on.More

We stopped here for just a snack and are glad we did. We got pork tacos and they were amazing! Arriving around 830 pm on Friday night and the line was out the door and down the sidewalk.

I visited Tacos El Gordo Las Vegas in August of 2021 and what an experience it was. I always see long lines outside all hours of the day and knew something special was going on here. I went there for lunch and was totally blown...away by how awesome these tacos were. When you order them they shave the meat for them right in front of you and put the toppings on in a matter of seconds. You have to see this to believe it and these tacos are just loaded with toppings and lots of meat too. They are served on soft shell tacos that are made to perfection on a skillet right in front of you. Once you are served these paying for them is just as easy. The cashiers and all the staff I encountered there were both courteous and very helpful too. I got 4 tacos and 2 cans of coke and the meal was both delicious and filling at the same time. Best tacos I ever had and eat there for yourself and see for yourself. Don't worry about waiting in line because it moved fairly fast and was well worth the wait. When in Las Vegas be sure to give Tacos El Gordo a try for yourself.More

First, I am born and raised southern Californian, so I know authentic Mexican food. This isn't it. The pros...it's cheap and servings are plentiful. The cons...EVERYTHING taste the same, so get in the shortest line and order whatever. The process is chaos. You line up...in one of a dozen dis-organized lines, order, get your food and then you go to another dis-organized line to pay. TIP - take advantage of the craziness and just keep walking! The 'meat' or 'pork' is dubious, at best. If you must, eat it on your last day, so you don't ruin your vaca. Your bowels will need a few days to recover. My favorite part is how hard the employee's are working in fifth gear, visibly sweating profusely...on your food. Cheers!More

The line was so long and a little confusing on where to stand, but we asked a few people and just chose the shortest line. The tacos were so worth the wait. The meat was delicious and had super fresh toppings. The corn tortillas were...also delicious. We can’t wait to go back!More

We love this tacos and the happy environment that this one restaurant has. More so, we love the great taste that traditionally has categorized this business. Although, recently we ran into a disappointing situation. Our favorite dish here is the "Tacos de Trompo". Those of...us that are familiar with this food know that the individual preparing the tacos, cuts the meat of a 'slow spin top" (trompo) as it slow cooks on the "Trompo". Well, we saw it different this one day on June 2021. The individual preparing the "Trompo " tacos did not have a "Trompo" infront of him. What he had was big chunks of semi-raw "Trompo " meat which he placed on a hot grill (plancha) and was chopping into small pieces while the meat cooked. At some point the meat was covered with foil paper and left to cook. The taste of course was not good and since the process was totally different, this tacos should not be sold for the same value as " Taco de Trompo" much less called such. This process changes everything. Therefore, this tacos become "Tacos a la Plancha (grill tacos). Other that that is a good place to visit on Las Vgas North Strip, keeping some Mexican traditional gastronomic delights alive.More

Great inexpensive and authentic Mexican food. Expect it to be crowded and for it to take at least 30 minutes in line to order. Take note there are multiple lines depending on what meat you want ( pork or beef). Everything is cooked to order...right in front of you.More

I don't know about a free shuttle. There is a city bus that drops you off right in front.

No alcoholic drinks are available, however; they have agua de horchata and it is great!
