Heard about runza via pinterest. Okay i was skeptic. Quite tasty sandwich. Really enjoyed the original. If you havent had try. The are similar to australian meat pies but not with pie crust. It has roll crust. Little peppery

I live in Arizona where we don't have Runza, so I always look forward to visiting Nebraska to eat runzas. We have been there five times in six days!
If you have never had a runza, then you are missing out! They are delicious. Their fries are usually very fresh and they have great burgers, too!
It doesn't matter if you are trying the hamburgers or the runza's you are going to be happy with Runza. Great american food. Fries and onion rings are awesome. Good home cooked taste. Kind of pricey but it is good fast food.
After reading about runzas and seeing recipes in magazines, I was anxious to give one a try. The loose meat burger with cabbage and onions was delicious. The bread "bun" was tender and not overly doughy. Their fries and onion ring combo was a bargain...More

They make them fresh! Not baked under a heatlamp . They taste like they just came off the grill. We enjoy the onion rings as well.
